Rain gauge was showing 1.81" since midnight when I left the house just a bit ago. Still a little drizzle in the 24. Seems to be dying out.

LCRA is showing 1.5" in our neighborhood.  I'm a little surprised it's that low.  Seems like it's been pretty steady for the last 12 hours or so.

The depth at our lower water crossing on the Frio below Hwy 90 went from Sahara to 12.6 feet in an hour.  Gonna have to rebuild the bank drive slopes again.  Crazy seeing full grown, up rooted trees floating by at 15 MPH

Feels like it’s been raining for a week straight in Dallas.

I’m so jealous

Our High School football game was cancelled last week due to weather. It looks like there is another chance of cancellation due to thunderstorms this coming Friday.

Been raining all day in NW SA.  Plus my yard and your mom got 4" yesterday.

coolest and wettest early Sept I can ever remember. Usually this is Octobery weathers

Nice to walk around Austin in 77 degree air in the afternoon.  Lake levels on the rise.

We have turned off the AC and left the windows open.

Gonna have to drive the kids to school this morning.  Man that drop-off line sucks.

Doesn't matter, got rain.

Aren't you a little old to be playing high school football?

South to drop off, moron!

My wife is reporting that the grass is growing pretty good now, and I'm not there to cut it, so she might have to get someone to do it.

See, the problem here is, y'all seem to think that she's banging only one guy.

Rookie mistake.

Just leave me a tip, fuckers.  Just a tip.

Oh, no sir.   No doubt of that.  I was just making it clear that I am not the yard guy.

Florence should be taking care of that for you.

I'll take "what did the leper say to the prostitute" for $500, Alex.

Just a nice, steady downpour in 04 right now.  As has been for a few days now - no thunder, lightning, hail, wind, none of that.  Just glorious rain.

More to come.  Bring it on.   Was down at Twin Falls yesterday and it's flowing nicely.

we got sunshine and blue skies breaking through now over the lake.

That tropical system forming in the Gulf is going balls deep in the Coastal Bend.

And the coastal bend rivers and streams are starting to get a lot of the upstream runoff from the last week of rain.

Dark Sky says we are about to get another round of rain here in Austin soon.

glad the 100-degree days are gone.

Got 1.25 inches in Manchaca yesterday in about 2 hours.  Heard about 4 thunderclaps.  Unfortunately one of them was across the street and blew the fuse on my transformer so power was out for about an hour.  Full credit to PEC for getting there quickly and fixing it.  Alas, my Uverse modem was fried so I'm without internet or TV until the new box arrives tomorrow.

Also scared the living shit out of my wife, kids, and dogs.  Startled me a bit too.

phd, requesting some advice...we have a Port A trip planned next weekend,  9/20... it looks like that entire area may be drowned by this time next week... am i interpreting that right??

Its pouring in 77389. That’s ok though cuz I’m on the porch drinking whiskey and smoking kind bud.....and listening to the Dead!

You dont need to be Frankie to know that is a bad idea.

Gonna have to break down and mow my yard in the mud I guess, compaction be damned.

My lawn crew took care of that for me yesterday.  I have no idea whether or not they suffered from this "compaction" but if they had any problems, I assume my butler compensated them appropriately.

Over 16" of rain for Galveston, most of it, maybe all of it, the past 5 or 6 days.

Sorry, I've been completely occupied in house fixin' up stuff in D.C., haven't had much time to do weather shit except talk about that thar hurry-cane.

I don't think P.A. is going to be so bad.  Today/tomorrow, you'll know.

That invest that worried so many people didn't even really close circulation, so it's not going to be a tropical storm type thing.  I think it's moved onto land anyway now.  Doesn't mean of course it'll be no big deal but if it keeps moving, might be pretty doable next week.|

The system is supposed to run off to the NW and get into Big Bend/Mexico territory.  The only worries are today/tomorrow.

I'd probably go if I were in your shoes, but at least you'll know by Sunday if it's a bad deal.  I doubt it.

It look like we are going to finish with around 14 or 15 days in a row of rainfall.  That’s pretty freaking impressive

Curious as to to how many times over the past 10-20 years that’s happened in Austin.

This is already the 3rd wettest September in SA (since your mom moved away).  I think 3 more inches would take the record (another mom joke here).

yeah, we already rescheduled :(

You would have been fine. We flooded pretty bad last night but it’s already receded and the disturbance is moving out of the area. Sad thing is that some of the places that were damaged in Harvey flooded again.
