Holy shit.  I've driven over that bridge hundreds of times.  The water is usually 30 feet below that bridge.  This is crazy.

Yep - It's gone.

Reporter was doing a live feed on Facebook when it went.

That's a big bridge.

Needs to handle the traffic headed to your momma's house.

Holy shit.

On Llano River, bridge crosses you.

Wow, been on that part of LBJ a ton.  My kids used to use the rope swing under that bridge!

Here's the feed I posted on the previous page which showed the bridge collapse.

Looks like a kickass garage sail on, and under, Lake Travis this weekend!  Better than the Sami Shows!

When the surge hits Starcke, it will make MB and Travis even and will cover those concrete structures on the dam.

KVUE just confirmed the "290" bridge south of Kingsland collapsed.

not dam, bridge. my bad

why did these close buchanan?  This is all south of that.

So what’s the possibility of Travis hitting 690??

Sure fucking hope not, that's close to being in my house... LCRA needs to start letting out some water for the rice farmers !!!

The dam?

There is a 30-foot flood wave headed down the Llano, and there is a 10-foot wave building up behind it.

Did I just hear someone say "Fucking Right" in the background as Jim said he would be getting a U-Haul right now if he lived in graveyard point?

Seems like maybe the should be opening some gates at Mansfield in anticipation.

My bad. Bridge not dam.

I think it's also the "2900 bridge".

Now the big question is will the 1431 bridge hold?

Absolutely

No kidding.  Here in October of 2018, I still can’t believe how many people use portrait-mode on their phones when covering natural disasters.

A pic of the Llano bridge washed out by the previous flood of record in 1935:

Maybe he was and the flood waters tipped him over.

The city is asking all residents to adopt the "If its brown, flush it down; if its yellow, let it mellow" philosophy until further notice

So the city name really checks out now.

Man, those shots of the turbulent water  at Max Starcke Dam are truly "nature you scary" worthy.

So racist.

Nutso

A friend with a lake house in Sunrise Beach on LBJ just lost her boat from her boathouse, so it's now part of the debris moving downstream I'm sure.

Another friend near her, says his boat is basically pinned to the ceiling of their boathouse.  Hopefully it'll stay tied up when the water recedes.  Their houses are both quite a bit higher than the waterfront, so shouldn't be any danger of flooding, but right now, ya never know...
