i want to save some movies i bought on itunes to an sd card. what are people using these days to convert the files to be readable by non-apple things?

ford’s rear seat entertainment thing doesn’t allow for streaming/mirroring off ios devices and it’s cumbersome as fuck to connect via hdmi to lightning to iphone/ipad. we paid for these fuckin movies so its not like i’m tryna steal shit. help me.

What format(file extension) are they?  Are they on your computer or cloud?

they’re .m4v files stored on my mac.

Google "unprotecting m4v files"

There's several articles/videos.  I know this doesn't answer your question but it looks like most decent software costs about $40-$50.  If you have the Adobe CS suite, this will do it.

handbrake works to convert from dvd but doesn’t recognize apple .m4v.

googled and did a few trials today. was just hoping you degenerates would have a tried and true method that might even save me $50. ah well, guess i’ll pick one at random
