One of my BFFs from grad school is an LSU alum and she is so excited to take me to my first game at Tiger Stadium next year. I am fucking stoked.

I think this is the exact effect it has. I remember reading about this a while back - people don't feel the need to get super boozed up before the game because they know they'll have access to it, so they in turn drink less on average. It's a win win for the schools.

This is what Wisconsin's study found when they were investigating beer sales.

Well I've definitely been sober as a judge and not sneaking in alcohol at every SEC game I've attended, so this is going to be a big change.

Yeah, the only thing that would have less effect than this is if the SEC allowed schools to pay players.

When UH games were played at the Dome they sold beer.  This was 25+ years ago, not sure what year it started, but they definitely did in the 90s.

Buying concession beer at a football game? Yeah, if they sell it in the stands. Walk up and down stairs, stand in line forever, do a balancing act all the way back to your seat, trying not to spill, and miss half the damn quarter? I think not.

Send drink sellers into the stand, though, and I'm your huckleberry.

So aggy does need the numbing effects of alcohol. A lot's changed in four years.

They should start selling it mid-way through the 3rd quarter. Maybe their fans would stick around?

CSB/I’ve been to one LSU home game.  Forget the year, Spurrier was coaching Gata and they were #1.  Night game, LSU pulled off the upset.  I’m no fucking lightweight, but JFC, I had never seen a scene like that before, and haven’t seen one since. It was what I imagine a big time South American soccer match would be like, and I mean that in both a good and a bad way.
Never been to OU weekend when Friday was celebrated on Commerce St, eh?
