  • In my Facebook memories today, a bit of interesting coincidence. Two years ago today, @Jive Turkey and I made the pilgrimage to Anfield to see LIverpool take on...West Ham. 4-1 that day. Hopefully 4-0

Magic number: 24
Tottenham at home to City on Sunday. Number could be reduced to 22 or 21 depending on the outcome.

so we need 24 points from 14 matches.  win 8 matches, and we're there.  and that assumes Man City runs the table.

i'm feeling . . . better about this.

There are so many facets of this team that are light years better than last season, which in and of itself was an incredible squad. I just am in awe of how well put together and managed this squad is. And not just from Klopp. How much better is this defense under year 3 of VvD? How much better is the set piece defense now? It's nuts how tight everything is. I don't freak out when I watch them now. You have trust that this team is going to figure out how to break down their opponent. I don't think I've experienced a total sports team like this since Texas 2005. And good God how I needed this.

I'm convinced that VVD + Joe is a great defense.

fify

No question, Joe is great. But so was Matip and Lovren (some days).

Joe is the future.

That’s exactly how I feel. And the 05 Texas team is a perfect comp. You know there a match winners all over the field and it gives a supreme confidence about the outcome. I Imagine the team feels similar which helps create the never loss mentality that they clearly play with

EDIT: shit, didn’t see Jive already posted that about needing 24 points.

8 goals in his last 3 doesn't sound good. Oh wait.

Did anyone ever really doubt him?!?

He’s back! Like Ox up with Bobby and Mo.

Not sure they showed it as I didn't jump on the match till 10 minutes in but they unveiled a Bob Paisley status at the stadium park earlier this week.

Wow. How is that not a penalty? Is there an uncatchable rule in EPL?

Van Djik’s back-heel try would’ve been the goal of the year

Oh Gini. Come on, man.

Ha, just heard "oh fuck off".

Alisson makes it look so easy.

The 5 years of Mignolet had me shaking like Michael J Fox anytime the ball went in our box.

Gomez hasn't been tested like this in a while.

Origi should come on for Gini w/ Ox moving back into the midfield.

you can say that again!

That Bobby flick was just well, Bobby. Said it before and I'll say it again, Bobby is the straw that stirs the drink. So many little things he does to set things up.

Oh just a little earlier and it would've been golden.
