Saw something on This Is Anfield that it will be inspired by the 1993-1994 kits where the green was in the collar only. I really would love a return of the 90-00s crest.

  • In my Facebook memories today, a bit of interesting coincidence. Two years ago today, @Jive Turkey and I made the pilgrimage to Anfield to see LIverpool take on...West Ham. 4-1 that day. Hopefully 4-0

Pretty big deal.  Worth the watch.

this feels like 2016, 2017.  just holding on for dear life at the ends of matches.

except they  would have lost 2-1 or given up the late goal to tie 3-3 in those years......

Looking at Watford...the loss of Henderson really appeared crucial early on vs. WHU.  I think Watford will give us a battle.

I would love to see LFC go undefeated; sadly, I don’t think it will happen, & I see a tie somewhere as well. All but clinching the title so early contributes to that. But 35-2-1 would be incredible.

Unpopular opinion: I hope we tie a couple of matches because I don't want the fucking Mancs bragging about being the only blemish to our season.

Exactly. Going through a 38-game season with no defeats is not realistic (yes, I have a healthy respect for what arsenal did, but we won’t have near that many ties).

I love what this team has accomplished, and I think it will stand for a long time. A lesser record I would love to see LFC pass is Reading’s 106 EFL points from 15 years ago.

Getting back to Watford; I could see them being the cockroach. Pearson has helped them, & he knows the value of this game. Vicarage Rd will be packed & rocking Saturday.

Watford found new life under Pearson early on but they've got 5 points since Jan 12 (6 PL matches, including a win against Bournemouth who've been awful). They also lost an FA Cup replay to Tranmere, who are currently in 21st place League One.

They gave us a handful at Anfield and their burly midfield could give us problems without Henderson in there, but I don't really see them scoring.

Fair points, but I didn't see West Ham scoring two at Anfield either.  We aren't playing really well right now, which is ok given that we haven't lost in almost 14 months, but it would be nice to be a little sharper going into the FAC/CL games that matter.

Excited to see him develop and it appears the club is as well.

Not sure why people think this. Unless Henderson was going to go against his natural inclinations and start being a dynamic creative player in the midfield it would've made zero difference with him. Literally look at the game right before West Ham.

Yup. And you and I often disagree on Henderson but this is spot on. Henderson is an extremely valuable player but the West Ham game was fucking screaming for a midfield runner to break the lines. The only midfielders we have capable of doing that are Ox and Naby. Naby for whatever reason didn’t want to do that against West Ham. Ox needs to start basically every game against teams that will park the bus

Lets get this win....hopefully before the 85th minute

We've been shit and Lovren has still found a way to rise and be the cream of the crap

I'm ready for us to be incisive and rely less on the hit and hope offensive strategy

That's what you get for walking around and playing uninspired. Better get their heads out of their asses.

Guess we can say that henderson is the player that makes us unbeatable

Dear lord -- what an ass-kicking

We lost to Atleti two matches ago with Henderson
Oh you mean the game he left injured ...

It’s been a helluva run. We’re still gonna win the league. But this was bound to happen.

Klopp needs to take a step back and evaluate what he's doing. Lost 2 of 3 since the break and had to struggle to win that 3rd.

We're absolutely impotent going forward and uninspiring from top to bottom.

I know you don't know much about the game but we weren't setting the world on fire before he left injured.

Yup...just sucks we will miss out on some records but still have all the trophies in play

Or maybe you dont need to take a flippant comment so seriously and be wrong about it

First Texas wins at Tech.  Then Liverpool loses to Watford.  What the fuck is going on?

In days olden yore, Betelguese dimming at the onset of the corona virus would be interpreted as Sign from God.

In the case of hornball and pool, maybe it's gozer the gozerian is hanging around.
