May 29, 20223 yr I don't know enough about rowing but that seemed like a good coaching job by Dave O'Neill. Texas is known for their sprints at the end but think that got them in trouble the race before. Fell too far behind. Looks like they came out with a different approach that final race.

So yup, if Texas wins 1st they win the national title. So final points results ended up tied with Stanford ? (Damn that's close -- every boat's result was critical...)

May 29, 20223 yr The way the scoring system works it's going to naturally finish close. Stanford's bad race in the 4s ended up being the difference.
May 29, 20223 yr Awesome. That’s 3 so far for the 2021-2022 school year and several more have major shots to add on. Now if football could just get its shit together. Congrats to the emerging rowing dynasty!

Texas will be adding 3 team titles, a 2nd place women’s indoor T&F finish, a top 16 men’s tennis finish, at least a top 8 softball finish, and likely top 3 finishes, if not titles, in M/W outdoor T&F. Add in baseball and we should exceed our current fifth place spot in the Director’s Cup. Don’t know if it’s enough to win again but looks good for another strong finish with the spring sports Edited May 29, 20223 yr by Js1
