True, but you're the one on the Oregon Trail.  Death from dysentery lies ahead.

Have fun fucking fat moon-faced Lutheran chicks when it's 50 degrees below zero in January you Yankee cunts.

Why dont you post some screen grabs of the 10 day in Siberia. Certainly pertinent in a thread about how fucking hot it is in the south.

Did you guys move here from Canada? 100 degree days don't even cross my mind at this point. They're normal, and I'm not a roofer, so I don't really care. The only time I really notice is when I see my water and electric bills.

Got it. We cant have a thread that discusses how hot it has been. I go out in the heat everyday and was born and raised in Austin. I enjoy the heat and haven't bitched once about the heat. I have bitched about dumb mother fuckers stumbling into a thread totally unrelated to them and posting about shit nobody cares about.

You must be new around here....;)

It's because we are getting older.  We need some place to bitch about the heat, plus this shit is not as fun now as it was 10 years ago.

Even less so with kids, where you get to play "get them out early in the morning, then find something for them to do for 7 hours, until the evening kicks in."

Thankfully my oldest is now at school, but I still have one I get to play that game with.

Hopefully we won't be able to say that in 2021 or we're in big trouble.

Seems like temperature Leif has been on the back end of the ten day forecast in Austin for the last week or so. Keps getting pushed back...Though I guess 99-100 is technically relief from 103-105.

Same boat near Waco... “high today of 98”.

Yeah, it was 103 again.  3 straight weeks of 100-106 is an ass whipping

Walking the dogs at 6:30 with a low of 80 is getting really old. 100+ for pretty much the whole month makes me feel, what’s the word....homicidal.

Yeah it was supposed to happen last weekend also.

Heard on KXAN this morning that today will be our 24th triple digit temperature day this year.

Since records were kept Austin averages 14 triple digit days per year however.....since 1990 we average 24 days per year...but since 1998 we are averaging 34 days per year.

But don't worry because our governor says "its because it is summer". (NO CR)

You really should buy it shoes unless you only walk on grass.

Did the UT tour with my youngest today. Was great to be back on campus. But the walk on the 40 acres from 11-1 was hottttttttttt!

Busy bodies,

I keep her on the grass in the shade for the time it takes her to relieve herself, then we retreat back inside until 10 when we go for our 3 mile hike.

Left Austin for upstate New York today. Everything is green with highs in the 70's, lows in the 50's. It's like I time travelled 3 months weather wise

Fuck looks like next week will be the hottest, driest week of the year so far.

Yep.  And next Saturday's weather is already starting to creep back up.  5 degrees warmer already than yesterday's prediction.

But 15 day shows a few hot (not hottest) days for the weekend, a hot (but not hottest) week to follow, then a snap into the low 90's by next weekend.

August, in other words.

But yesterday it was showing 88 and what not for next weekend, now showing 93

As mentioned above, the 10 day forecasts for the last couple of weeks have been calling for temps to cool off towards the end of their range, but it keeps getting pushed back.  Same thing is happening again.

I still say that any forecasts beyond 2 days are bullshit.  I mean, I could take a pretty good guess what will happen, but channel 12 doesn't need to have so much faith in their 12-day forecast.

They are usually pretty good at getting a fair idea what the weather will be like.  Weather systems still stall or speed up though and there's no way to account for that.

Great place to hold a big outdoors rock concert in the summer. Someone should try that.

Hey there

So is today the first day where the high will be below 100 since, when, late July? My app shows a downright frigid 93 degrees at what is typically around the hottest time of the day.

yep, it is quite nice outside. Now of course we have been jinxed and summer is going to last until December.

Today was supposed to be 100, but peaked at maybe 95. It’s now 86

Whoever is responsible, thank you

No, it was < 100° about 3 days ago, snapping streak of 19 in a row (Austin Mabry).

i dont think we touched 65 today. back up to the 70s the next week. I had goosebumps standing outside.

Weather.com claims some rain in the next few minutes.  Those practical jokers, oh they get me sometimes.
