December 29, 20195 yr Wolves and SHU both screwed on offside today. That was a great ball and finish by Bravo.

I don’t like the call as I said earlier and think it’s antithetical to the point of offsides but he was ever so slightly off from all the images we saw.

December 29, 20195 yr As long as we're all having a moan about millimeters let's go back to this. He was off. Sometimes it goes for you and sometimes against.

He failed to give a stone wall pen to Chelsea against Spurs & gave handball against us yesterday for a perfectly good goal. All of these awful decisions were overuled by VAR. But it's VAR that's being ridiculed not the officials.

But it's VAR that's being ridiculed not the officials. In the last two days, VAR ruled out two goals that were, at best, absolutely razor-thin offside decisions. It did the same thing earlier in the year w/ a Firmino goal. For every decision it seemingly gets right, it has made an equivalent blunder. It sucks the joy out of goals. It sucks. Anthony Taylor fuckin sucks too. So does Martin Atkinson. VAR sucking ass and a decent percentage of referees sucking ass are not mutually exclusive. Not sure where you got that idea.
December 30, 20195 yr Your gripe is with the offsides interpretation. They can change that but it's being applied the same across all teams that's why there's universal frustration. However, it doesn't mean it hasn't caught blatant mistakes from the officiating as well. Why is that being forgotten in this discussion?
December 30, 20195 yr They should put in a metric to judge refs based on how many calls get overturned.

January 1, 20205 yr Soton supporter can shut the fuck up. You're welcome for giving you the one thing keeping your team from relegation. Don't want to hear it anymore. #blessed
January 2, 20205 yr 13 pts clear with a game in hand....one full calendar year without a league defeatHeres hoping 2020 is a little better than 2019#YNWA

Now they're linked with 36-year old Glenn Murray, (and Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud) which honestly wouldn't be a bad move. He knows how to score in the PL.
January 8, 20205 yr I'm going with 1)S America, 2)Europe, 3)Africa, but this is surprisingly close imo. Messi puts SA over the top but Europe has the best "worst player" (Lewa/Mbappe > Auba and Aguero), while Africa probably has their best 3 since Drogba, Eto'o, and Adebayor/Gyan were all playing. January 9, 20205 yr it's just based off whoscored's game scores over the decade, minimum 175 appearances.
January 11, 20205 yr Author VAR corrects a referees screw up once again. 100% a red card on that Aubameyang tackle. I hope VAR intervenes more on those type of tackles going forward.
January 12, 20205 yr Watford v. Bournemouth is on TeeVee. The 70th minute and both teams look gassed. Just walking to the ball half the time.
January 12, 20205 yr It’s why they’re probably both getting relegated. Edited January 12, 20205 yr by mdmost
January 12, 20205 yr The Villa fans singing "Fuck VAR!" is awesome, although the goal looked onside to me.Keeper has to protect that near post, though.Hey Pepe... You ready, mate?
January 13, 20205 yr 11 hours ago, mdmost said: It’s why they’re probably both getting relegated. Watford ain't getting relegated. Pearson's led a remarkable turnaround, with 13 of their 22 points coming in his 6 matches in charge (and one of those was against Liverpool). Burnley look lifeless and I wouldn't be shocked to see them go down, along with Norwich and Bournemouth.
