February 29, 20205 yr Time for all the Arsenal fans to start showing up to tell us how the “invincibles” are better than this year’s Liverpool team.

March 1, 20205 yr So, I know this thread is chocked full of irrational Everton haters...but can someone tell me I’m not being objective in saying that we just got royally fucked on that? WTF?!?! and that’s a huge 2 points in this race. Damnit.
March 1, 20205 yr Author They changed the rule 2-3 years ago about players interfering with the goalies line of sight so I was 99% sure that was going to get overturned when I saw it live. Siggurdson only has himself to blame for lying around like he was having a day at the beach.
March 1, 20205 yr I don’t know how you can say that interfered with line of sight. He was on the ground and de Gea tracked the ball with his head the whole way.
March 1, 20205 yr Jesus Christ... Everton got screwed. Line of sight? De Gea got to watch that clearly go into the back of the net. i thought VAR was supposed to even out referee bias for the top clubs.. it just seems to now more clearly highlight that it occurs!

When did Soton become a top club?

March 2, 20205 yr I'm obviously completely unbiased and that was the worst officiating decision in any competition in history. Okay, maybe not that bad but it was a complete hose job, yes.
March 8, 20205 yr There’s a public mauling being televised from London. Chelsea up 4-0 on Everton in the 56th minute. It’s 11 on 11.
March 8, 20205 yr That was a slick free kick that led to Man United's first goal. It should have been saved though.
March 8, 20205 yr Yellow cards for simulation are so often stupid. Fred just got kicked right in the ankle and went down and got a yellow. You can feel there's not enough contact for a card/penalty and that's fine but you should be damn sure there was no contact before you start giving out cards for diving imo.

March 9, 20205 yr FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK I'm glad I had a meeting outside the house and couldn't watch this no-lube-at-all match today.
March 9, 20205 yr Serie A is now completely shutting down for the time being. This would be the most Liverpool thing ever to have the EPL shut down and not declare a champion for 2019/20. https://www.espn.com/soccer/italian-serie-a/story/4071104/serie-a-all-sport-in-italy-expected-to-be-halted-due-to-coronavirus Quote All sports in Italy have been halted because of the coronavirus outbreak, including games in Serie A and preparatory events for the Tokyo Olympics, Italy Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte confirmed in a television address on Monday. Conte said the suspension -- which is part of a countrywide lockdown -- would go into effect on Tuesday. Earlier Monday, the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI), which oversees all sporting events in the country and had initially recommended the ban to the Italian government, said the stoppage would last until April 3.

March 10, 20205 yr David Squires' latest cartoon is pretty great. https://www.theguardian.com/football/ng-interactive/2020/mar/10/david-squires-on-british-footballs-reaction-to-the-coronavirus-outbreak
March 11, 20205 yr Well, it's here. Arsenal-Man City has been postponed due to COVID-19. The Olympiacos owner contracted COVID-19. Arsenal players came in contact with him 13 days ago. The players will remain in their homes for 14 days. Edited March 11, 20205 yr by mdmost
March 12, 20205 yr Time to just go ahead and declare this year a no contest. Nothing more to see, go home folks. Sorry Liverpool, maybe next year is your year.

March 12, 20205 yr I read some article from England earlier today where one of the contingency plans could be to postpone the Euro's until next year, and allow the club seasons to finish during that time. However I have no idea how anything could reasonably be planned at this time.
