July 15, 20205 yr Well COVID didn't cost Liverpool the title, but it's going to cost them their record breaking season.

July 15, 20205 yr Our wheels were flying off before the shutdown. Thankfully we got out to an insurmountable lead before February.
July 15, 20205 yr Other than the actual title this might be the most competitive finish in years as far as CL, Europa, and relegation.
July 15, 20205 yr Peacock sucks. I’m gonna assume it will get better and I will be glad I spent $30 next year, it blows now. No Roku. No rewind. No record option. No ARSLIV highlights. Can’t use a second monitor. Oh wait here are the highlights...on the NBC Sports app. And the replay...if you have Gold. That’s not clunky at all.
July 15, 20205 yr Author The second monitor thing boggled the mind. This was like a 1981 rollout of DOS
July 16, 20205 yr It was also a pretty choppy stream when I watched it through my chrome cast. On the iPhone app it was fine, so maybe it was just my chrome cast?

July 16, 20205 yr The app crashed every time I tried to connect my S8 to my TV and there was no app for me to download on my TV, so I got to watch the games on a tiny little screen. Get your shit together, NBC.
July 16, 20205 yr Normally, I like Everton (mostly because of Timmeh's history), but today? FUCKEM. #UTV
July 16, 20205 yr Leicester trying to keep that top 4 spot. Up 2-0 now on the Blades. Edited July 16, 20205 yr by mdmost
July 16, 20205 yr Yeah, it looks like Leicester is going to join Chelsea in holding serve for Match 36. Leicester really needed a good bounce back. Man United is up in the next game today. Edited July 16, 20205 yr by WBT

July 17, 20205 yr good match today... Watford v West Ham Winner is effecively safe. Loser will remain in danger of relegation.
July 17, 20205 yr Leeds United officially promoted. 16 years since they were last up. Edited July 17, 20205 yr by mdmost

July 17, 20205 yr Good result for villa today...gotta win one of the last 2 and draw the other most likely Watford will most likely lose last 2 but you never know
July 17, 20205 yr The race for the final 2 relegation spots will be very interesting. Watford has the toughest road as they have to play City and @Arsenal. Villa has Arsenal and @West Ham. Bournemouth finish with Southampton and @Everton. Watford appear to be the big loser. Brighton could lose out and still be ahead on GD. West Ham, similarly seems safe now.
July 19, 20205 yr Watching the Bournemouth-Southampton match now. Surprisingly fast paced and entertaining.* (*I've seen the odd relegation-bound teams play before -- Fulham v. Watford comes to mind -- and they seemed to be playing in sand).
July 19, 20205 yr Bournemouth have some life now. And VAR just took it away. Edited July 19, 20205 yr by mdmost

July 19, 20205 yr Just turned on Leicester - Chelsea. Do I hear singing? Seems like there are more and more people in the stands each passing week. Is that by design or people just sneaking in?
July 19, 20205 yr I'm really surprised that they cant allow a few hundred or thousand into the stadium and just spread them out. Like 10 or 30 per section. Maybe raffle them off for charity etc. I guess the cost of labor/security etc and liability is too high.
July 19, 20205 yr Wanting to have fans in the stands when the next season starts is why. It's working. Why take the risk? There was doubt for a time that they would even be allowed to restart and finish the season.

July 19, 20205 yr Dear Arse,Can you please put out the "C team" against Villa so we can sneak a point, but kick Watford's ass? Thanks,Ramjet

The Pozzo's seem like shitty people to work for. That's probably all you need to know. There is speculation that Pearson was told he wasn't going to be the guy after this year, so he basically said fire me now. But not keeping him really makes ZERO sense. Since Pearson took over, Watford has played really well. They were dead last when he took over: In the 22 games since then, their performance compared to the rest of the bottom of the table: Watford - 26 pts Newcastle - 24 Palace - 21 West Ham - 21 Brighton - 19 Villa - 16 Bournemouth - 15 Norwich - 10 You have to get to Everton and Soton to find teams that have outperformed them (32 and 34 points respectively). And lets not forget THEY BEAT LIVERPOOL. This isn't a poke at Liverpool, this is a testament to that team believing and winning that game. Yeah, screw them I hope they get relegated. July 20, 20205 yr Yeah, that's only a possibly hundred million pounds decision. Hope you made the right one.
July 20, 20205 yr Author Reading Havertz to Chelsea is almost a done deal. Think only the teams with oligarch owners will be able to spend big this summer but it’s a great time to do so considering depressed prices and FFP dead.
