  • Unreal. Biden’s son can take home $1m a year from a Ukrainian company he knows nothing about...but our president acts like the CEO of a company with leverage in cutting deals and this shit happens?

The placement of his testimony date was quite adept. He’s not holding back. Everyone knows. Nunes’ leopard skin thong must be sucking into his puckering butt. Gym is used to wearing leotards so I guess he’ll just talk fast.

I can go with the Arnold parentage, but there might be some William H Macy in there, too, with blue tie guy.

The ole JoePa eh?

What's amazing, is that all of this is going off of a few personal phones - think about all of the official phones, laptops, emails, etc. we aren't seeing.

FIFY

Off topic, but why are gov't officials using whatsapp for messaging?  Might as well mail copies to security agencies worldwide.

this is glorious

Because they are doing shady shit that they don't want a public record of and they don't care which foreign governments are reading them.

100% this.

They know the people reading them and they work for them.

Just gave them an out didn’t he? No concerns with the call brought up?

Because they are dumb criminals

I worked at a very large computer corporation for over a decade, and part of that was in IT, and it was a given that when executives get to a certain level, they don't believe the rules apply to them.  I also saw this in the military with higher-ranking officers and NCOs.

Plus what kevwun said.

A$ap rocky in the house

Headline on foxnews.com is Rudy Under the Bus

“Cannot remember.”

“No recollection.”

The “buts” are starting so Sondland can be cleared.

Can't wait to see what ace Rudy is holding back to save his ass.

He just stated that it was QPQ again, and that Trump was driving it.

I love the fact that Texum A&M Aggy Alumni Rick Perry was in the middle of all of this.

Man... all the name drops from Sondland. "Everyone was in the loop."

I wish I had an open morning so I could be around when Nunes, Castor, Gym, Stefanick, etc. get their time.

Rs have already started the narrative that qpq isn't bad.

This combined with the subpoena ruling on Monday will open things up nicely for Bolton to testify.

Don’t worry - they only use WhatsApp for low-level diplomatic matters.  All classified government dick pics are circulated via Snapchat.

What if Nunes had read the revised opening statement, and decided to go with his script, because "fuck it, we can't win"

R's defense have pretty much been blown up by Sondland. But let see how many more times they dip into their bag of tricks and keep repeating it.

"Mr. Giuliani's requests were a quid pro quo."

"Mr. Giuliani was expressing the desires of the President."

"Everyone was in the loop."

BURN IT DOWN!!

I'm surprised that Fox News is airing this, and giving it a lot of attention on the website, even if they are trying to tilt it squarely at Rudy.

Seems like there should be an app called SnatchChat.  Surly side business?

Sondland has absolutely nailed the coffin shut.  I know the Senate will not convict and I just still can’t believe it in light of this testimony.

Lulz at the idea that Rudy is getting thrown under the bus, Rudy is holding a got damn royal flush and is begging for anyone to go all in against him.

Yeah, he keeps reiterating that it's Rudy through Donald

Depends on what poll numbers Mitch is seeing.

Except, that one rudy giuliani was acting on behalf of one donald j trump. That fact aside, yeah they all lead back to rudy.

JFC ... in WWII we had to break Enigma to read Hitler's texts ... now our enemies just need a rogue employee at WhatsApp.

Damn, I’m sure the boot lickers will find a way to gaslight the Fox-News-Brain-Rot crowd, but it’s going to take some serious mental gymnastics. Sondland ain’t here for Trump’s fuck shit.

Bribery and extortion are totally cool and totally legal!  I’d be upset if Trump WASN’T extorting those corrupt Ukrainians!

Trump probably: "I don't even know Sondland that well. Had I known how bad of a person he is, I never would have hired him! LIAR!"

I mean, yeah, these officials seem to have zero concern about the Tooth Fairy and the Loch Ness Monster, too.

They're (Reps) going to go with the point that Biden isn't specifically mentioned in any of these communications.  (about 10 minutes behind but haven't seen Biden's name once)

It’s less nefarious than that. When you’re trying to message people in foreign countries with who knows what cell service and charges, WhatsApp is just the easiest way to go. The problem is most officials are completely ignorant and/or ambivalent to Cyber Security. They get a staffer to sit through their mandatory training.

I’m on my phone and out today but I think @emptywheel (if I got that right) was unhappy that the inquiry wasn’t bringing up the gas contracts with Volker more yesterday. The Energy sector is where so much is hidden in this and the corruption that supports the behind the scenes quid pro quo.

With respect to Rudy. Nothing will happen. He and Trump have teflon with Mitch. Too much Russian $$. They may cut Rudy loose, but they would rather cut his throat first.

He just pulled the look even Pompeo said I’m doing a great job so don't try that angle like you did yesterday.

Pompeo... from 1st in his class at West Point...to a morally corrupt politician. Kansas y'all deserve him.

Depends on what you consider a rogue.  If not mistaken, WhatsApp is owned by Facebook.
