You can tell how heartfelt this Wenstrup speech is by how often he has to look down to read it.

Wenstrup: I was in the military did you know that. Did you miss that yesterday? And the day before?

No shit, this is fucking ridiculous, and it's embarrassing.

Him deploying to Iraq has no fucking impact on these hearings.

LOL - Republicans finally realized their best move is to not ask the witnesses any questions.

Oh shit this guy doesn't have any idea that netanyahu just invoked the coup rhetoric FIVE MINUTES AGO

Holy shit she just fucking owned the republicans, even calling out those who had left

Yep, run that fucking clock out.

Back from work.  Tuning in and it looks like Hill is still breaking it off.

And the Republicans are pissed.

Haha she fucking strung him up with his own rope.

Lulz did the Republicans just try to argue that Hill shouldn't be allowed to respond? God damn, they're so good at being villains.

I don't think they ever thought about what would happen if she was allowed to respond to their monologues.

I hate these people so much.

On the one hand, Wenstrup can't shut up about his military service, and is just running out the clock.

On the other hand, Wenstrup apparently brought Ralphie May back from the dead.   Whatever else you may think about Wenstrup and May, that's impressive.

She is a woman.

She threw an olive branch to them. She is a class act.

She is quite impressive.

I'm on a conference call and have the sound off - what happened? a specific moment or just the general out-classing she's delivering all day?

Ohhh...let's get into Rick Perry's area of who is profiting from O&G in Ukraine.

This is a lesson the democrats should learn with such a capable witness. First question: do you have a response to that monologue?

Somebody should put Taylor and Hill on their presidential ticket.

Stewart got the word.

Am leaning to the deal being set and will announce before Monday and it is a mistake.

A couple of Republicans in a row just decided to run out the clock, not ask questions, and just make rambling comments and take potshots at the Democrats, while pushing fake news.  She asked to respond.

Asshat went on a soliloquy without asking a question. Dr Hill asked if she would like to respond. She did so with deadly british class. Republicans were very unhappy.

She is so done with their bullshit grandstanding.

Hill is far more impressive, trustworthy and likeable  than any 16 or 20 candidate that has been trotted out.

Ya know, most days I consider myself pretty smart. I’m no genius or anything but a reasonably intelligent person.

Then someone like Fiona Hill comes along and makes me realize, damn, I’m an idiot.

This is too big a concession to give the cheating lying GOP. You get one chance to get these guys before the go underground and scatter.

Yep, Republicans have completely and openly conceded defeat.

I know right. America doesn’t deserve Fiona Hill.

This is incredible.  The R's are so overmatched by Hill/Holmes that they've stopped asking questions altogether.

The zero evidence point is so thin, and I almost hope they extend or reopen hearings if the Monday hearing goes in favor of denying the blanket immunity for everyone in the federal government Pompeo, Bolton, etc are hiding/being hidden through.  The ability to start laying out documents outside of personal cell phone texts, and  subpoena the core actors and force them to either tell the truth or invoke the 5th.

So the new tactic is to stop throwing lobs at the witness’s credibility and instead go full Qanon?

Yep.  Schiff nailed it the other night - they aren't angry at what Trump tried to do, they are angry that he got caught.

The people who made up Qanon are chuckling over this, and probably amazed at how long the joke is continuing.

Quitting on the stool is the correct term here.

Republicans are actually smart.  By bailing early while the testimony is continuing, and by no longer asking questions, they are tryin to make today's story about them, and not about what Fiona and Holmes actually said.

Testimony from people like Hill, Vindman, and Yovanovich make me thankful that there are intelligent, moral people who are working to ensure our country doesn't slip down into the fifth level of hell under the Asshole In Chief.
