June 14, 20196 yr Dude is 76 years old and playing almost-40 song sets. And dude is ACTIVE on stage. Maybe there's something to this whole vegan shit (still not worth it.)
June 14, 20196 yr Sister and Nephew should be there now. I saw him back in ‘11 at Yankee Stadium, tremendous show and Mr. Joel made an appearance to put the cherry on top.
June 14, 20196 yr Really enjoyed the 2014 show with my now 13 year old. We are behind home plate for this one. Edited June 16, 20196 yr by dcbc
June 15, 20196 yr Amazing man, got damn is he a great concerteer. Must be nice having a set list to choose from with more Top 10 hits than 95% of every musicians who ever lived entire song output - almost combined, lol!
June 15, 20196 yr The man is fucking magic. God damn that was good. Same stories and schtick from when I saw him 5 years ago but whatever, he's almost 80 and still sounds damn good and is playing 3 hour sets.
June 15, 20196 yr Wow, that was great. I thought some of the new stuff early on was pretty good. Helter Skelter always kills. I really liked the rendition of Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!, too. Section 108. Seats were killer. The price was low because they were listed as "obstructed." But I guessed correctly that toward the back of that lower section, the view was going to be good. I was not disappointed. Edited June 15, 20196 yr by dcbc
June 16, 20196 yr I saw the Wings Over America Tour at The Summit in 1976. How many "hits" has he had since then? shit! 43 freaking years ago!

June 17, 20196 yr damn you were close. i was F row 18 and ended up standing in the back by the sound board most of the show.
June 17, 20196 yr Author AG had better seats than I did. Am I the only one who hated his band? When you're as old as Paul, I think the stage needs to be balanced by some younger guys, instead of a bunch more old guys trying to look young who come off completely douchey. Note: not referring to the horns. And he also found the one drummer in the world who mugs more than Ringo. Edited June 17, 20196 yr by Beau Vine
June 17, 20196 yr So, I'm just reading about the Lambeau Field show. Seems that the Packers gave him a stock certificate (making him an owner) and a football. He threw the football to somebody. The idiot CEO of the packers said "I had no idea he was left-handed"

June 18, 20196 yr Saw him on the Flowers in the Dirt Tour in 1990. Linda McCartney was still his keyboard player, before she died of cancer. Great show. CHIEF

When I saw the Flowers in the Dirt tour, it sounded highly produced and polished in that way that seems to inevitably happen as artists advance in their career and get comfortable and lose their edge. I was happy to see him, because he hadn't toured while I'd been of age. But I remember when I first heard this current band it struck me how he'd taken it back to just 5 guys on stage. It felt more rawk, and less show. Anyhow, I his current band.
June 27, 20196 yr Sir Paul with a middle finger to A&M... https://www.billboard.com/articles/news/8517831/paul-mccartney-texas-am-dogs-for-experiments
June 27, 20196 yr Oh, that's not gonna go over well in College Station at all. I bet Toby Keith doesn't mind their use of dogs for research.
June 30, 20196 yr Went last night. Bucket list checked. Took my 10 and 13 kids, what an amazing show and experience.
June 30, 20196 yr Went last night. Bucket list checked. Took my 10 and 13 kids, what an amazing show and experience. I can’t imagine paying for 23 kids.
July 15, 20196 yr Saturday Night at Dodger Stadium, both Ringo and Joe Walsh played. I hate that I missed it.
July 15Jul 15 Author He's touring again, and tix are on sale this morning. I hadn't planned on going, but then I pictured seeing him from the upper deck of Coors Field with the sun setting behind... ... and giggity, I'm in the queue with 128K in front of me.
July 15Jul 15 I got my tickets to that Coors Field show. 4 for the family in row 21, and one 6th row extra for me for the soundcheck pre-show. Seen him several times but this is likely to be the last, so I went for it. Gonna be great!!

Tix went on sale at 10 am CT this morning and I was shocked that I had mine for Tulsa in hand by 10:05 am.
July 15Jul 15 Yeah, I was thinking an Albuquerque trip would be nice with the wife, but then I got wrapped up in work and forgot all about it.
July 15Jul 15 Des Moines. But no Texas stops. Pretty intimate gathering in Palm Springs. I think that arena seats like 10K. Edited July 15Jul 15 by Wally Pryor
July 15Jul 15 I was number 45,000 in the queue for Palm Desert, which holds 10,000. Fuck it, I'm going to try to grab Vegas on the secondary market and see him up there. 1 hour ago, Wally Pryor said: Des Moines. But no Texas stops. Pretty intimate gathering in Palm Springs. July 15Jul 15 BTW, there's a place up in the desert north of Palm Springs called "Pioneertown". Paul played a bar there in '16, "Pappy and Harriets". I've been there and seen that very "showroom" where he played. It's tiny. Capacity 300 or so. I'm wondering if he'll hit that again.
July 15Jul 15 He did three shows at the Bowery Ballroom earlier this year, capacity like 500. The guy just loves being on stage.
