June 17, 20196 yr My wife . . . has an ass in her cock in the driveway! I like the simple pleasures like butter in my ass and lollipops in my mouth. Edited June 17, 20196 yr by dcbc
June 17, 20196 yr See this system here? This is Hi-Fi... high fidelity. What that means is that it's the highest quality fidelity.
June 17, 20196 yr Okay, now you're talking above my head. I don't know all of this industry jargon, YP, MP. All I know is that I can't get a record contract, we cannot get a record contract unless we take those tapes to the record company. And granted, the tapes themselves are a uh um oh, you own them, all right, but the magic that is on those tapes. That fucking heart and soul that we put onto those tapes, that is ours and you don't own that. Now I need to take that magic and get it over the record company. And they're waiting for us, we were supposed to be there a half hour ago. We look like assholes, man.
June 17, 20196 yr I contend one of the best films of the 90s. Next time you watch it, amongst all the other outstanding performances, focus in and appreciate the understated genius of Don Cheadle in it.
June 17, 20196 yr Author Cheadle was fantastic. The woman he ends up with in the film was George Costanza's date in the shrinkage episode of Seinfeld

June 17, 20196 yr Author And not the only Seinfeld connection. Philip Baker Hall, who was Floyd Gondoli in the clip I posted, played Bookman, the library cop. Edited June 17, 20196 yr by Deej

June 17, 20196 yr I put a mix tape together of all my favorite songs . . . This is song number three...

Well yeah, Bookman is legendary. Even non-Seinfeld fans know about that connection. There is one more actor in Boogie Nights who appeared on Seinfeld. Pos rep to anyone who can get it correct.
June 17, 20196 yr AMATEUR: Is he gonna fuck me in the ass? JACK: Is that what you want? AMATEUR: It would be nice. JACK: Johnny, fuck her in the ass. JOHNNY DOE: Lock and Load, Jack!

June 17, 20196 yr there are moments of genius in this movie. The three that come to mind. Philip Seymour Hoffman's "i'm a fucking idiot" scene. Where Buck is trying to secure a bank loan. Don Cheadle was amazing in that scene. Heartbreaking. The scene where PT Anderson holds the camera on Mark Wahlberg for what seems like an eternity (50 seconds) as Jessie's Girl blares in the background.
June 17, 20196 yr The scene that always slays me is Reilly and Wahlberg rehearsing "Feel My Heat." ("Nick . . . were we rolling on the rehearsal?") And the part where they're cutting "You Got the Touch" is right up there as well, esp. Reilly dancing in the booth. So good.
June 17, 20196 yr I always liked the Dirk Diggler documentary, and Dirks poignant contemplative scenes looking out over the drainage ditch, and behind the strip mall. Ya know they tried to pull down Napoleon in Roman times. Edited June 17, 20196 yr by Onboard 2.0

June 17, 20196 yr On the bonus DVD edition, there is a deleted scene chapter that is worth watching. The best is with Maurice and Rollergirl. The moment Rollergirl pulls her top off....absolutely cinematic.
June 17, 20196 yr Well, if you just wanna see me jack off, it's ten. But if you just wanna look at it, it's only five.

June 18, 20196 yr When I close my eyes, I see this thing, a sign, I see this name in bright blue neon lights with a purple outline. And this name is so bright and so sharp that the sign - it just blows up because the name is so powerful... It says, "Dirk Diggler."

Ya know they tried to pull down Napoleon in Roman times. What can you expect when you're on top? You know? It's like Napoleon. When he was the king, you know, people were just constantly trying to conquer him, you know, in the Roman Empire. So, it's history repeating itself all over again. I used to think Wahlberg was brilliant in this, turns out he was just playing himself
June 18, 20196 yr The first pool party scene is pretty incredible. -Dirk meeting Reed and competing over lifting weights and diving board moves -Buck and Becky arguing about the cowboy look -Maurice trying to get in a porno -Little Bill getting shit from Kurt while his wife is getting "an ass in her cock" -The OD girl
June 18, 20196 yr This is twice in two days that a chick has OD'd on me Well do you think maybe you should get some new coke? Edited June 18, 20196 yr by fellside
