I feel like there was another Major League thread, but I'm too lazy and drunk to find it.

So, I like Jesus, but he does not help with curveball.

Yeah, and the line in the thread title was not a question in the movie.

You sound like fun at parties.

Well, to be fair.  That’s why the line is funny, because he delivers it with this annoyed frustration as if to say, “this list is bullshit, you don’t even know if some of them are alive.”   And that’s what makes her follow up even more hilarious.

If the guy asks, “this guy here is dead?”  Her line is then, “maybe.  If he is dead, you can cross him off then.”

when we start movie threads based on a singular, well-know quote...you gotta get that right, punctuation and all.

“So I jump ship in Hong Kong and I make my way over to Tibet?”

You want me to drag him out of here, kick the shit out of him?

I'm lots of fun because I get movie quotes right.

Well, I guess there is just one thing left to do.

What's that?

Win the whole fucking thing!

I've never heard of half of these guys and the ones I do know are way past their prime.

Most of these guys never had a prime.

Hey bartender....Jobu needs a refill!

I said that last night at a bar.  Bartender looked confused but two older gentlemen chuckled and nodded.

I got a guy here on the other line asking about some white walls.

Earliest role for "The Janitor" from Scrubs and Mike Heck from The Middle.

How can these guys lay off pitches that close?
2 hits?  That’s all we got, 2 goddamned hits?

Harry Doyle is the best in a series of kickass characters.  Pepper Leach, Monty, and the construction worker with the inexplicable Brooklyn accent are fantastic bit players.

I love this movie.  Best baseball movie, certainly best baseball comedy, tied with Caddyshack for best sports comedy of all time.

Yeah it's not just a good comedy it's a good sports movie. The last scene where they are playing the Yankees is really well done.

"Strike this motherfucker out"

Also love how it ends on them winning the pennant - no bullshit tying of loose ends, no World Series - just cuts to credits.

They only locked up the AL East.

Right.  It was a one game playoff for the division.  And it didn't matter what happened after that.

Harry: [before the playoff game] Monty, anything to add?

Monty: Ummm... no.

Harry: He's not the best color man in the league for nothing, folks!
