October 22, 20196 yr Author He was being SUPER JAN! BTW - this is the result Spurs absolutely needed. They really could use 2 or 3 MORE goals and get positive on GD. So long as Bayern doesn't lose (they are up 2-1), this is going to be a good day for Spurs. A Bayern-Olympiacos draw would really help Spurs. Right now (live): Bayern 9 Spurs 4 Red Star 3 Olympiacos 1
October 22, 20196 yr Author Ok, that was sick. At first I thought it was pretty lucky, but damn if he didn't snap that one off right where he wanted.
October 22, 20196 yr Author Well Bayern got the 3 points (2-3). Still good for Spurs though. Hopefully this is the start of the team getting things righted.
October 23, 20196 yr Author I haven't watched the first, but the 2nd is good, I figured the 1st will give some good insight too.

Is there literally ZERO blame being placed on Levy, other than "he sucks because he is holding on to Poch"? Levy has mismanaged this organization terrible the last few seasons. We are now reaping what he has sown...a bunch of players on their way out, etc. Having 4 of your best players in their last year of their contracts with no extension and not selling them earlier = bush league shit. It's hard to say "player X is trash" when their future is constantly in limbo. That said, 3-0 us. Maybe we are back. Sure, but he also deserves a ton of credit for taking Spurs from a perennial mid table club to a perennial top 6 club.
October 24, 20196 yr as pointed out in the first video @Captain Ron posted, spurs have been lacking a true holding central mid since dembele started declining in 2017. wanyama was supposed to be that guy but was always hurt. sissoko was supposed to be that guy but gets trigger happy. winks was supposed to be that guy but isn't athletic enough (and is always hurt). maybe n'dombele will be that guy eventually, but until then spurs will continue to expose their central defenders and struggle with play through the middle in the current preferred tactical formation.

Jan and Toby have definitely lost a step as well.
October 27, 20196 yr I'd like to see Ndombele in the starting XI. I guess he will be the first sub on.

October 27, 20196 yr The pre-match buildup in Austin was all Liverpool, all the time. Jesus, that was awful.
October 27, 20196 yr It was the same thing in Boston. Boston I get because of the Red Sox owning Lfc but not why they did it for Austin.SATX spurs just posted this

October 27, 20196 yr 4 minutes ago, DeepEastTexas said: Aurier should have been subbed for Ndombele. My biggest issue is Pochettino’s usage of Eriksen and Lucas. He’ll play Eriksen against teams we will counterattack but not against teams that are going to park the bus. He does the opposite with Lucas. It’s maddening.

That is the second time in three PL matches that Mane has dived and gotten the PK foul.. saving 4 points. Aurier basically pulls his right leg back to kick the ball away and Mane inserts himself from behind between the ball and Aurier's leg. Aurier knew nothing of it. Certainly no intent there, he wasn't even looking at Mane. And Mane certainly wasn't trying to win the ball at that point.

You essentially are saying that because Aurier is too slow he shouldn’t be penalized. You kick someone in the leg, it’s a foul. It was a could when Virgil did it to Lamela two years ago and it’s a foul now.
