The Arlington looks better than the Baker. However, that isn’t really the comparison I was making. More just a comment that even in a destination such as Hot Springs, a historic hotel like the Majestic can fail. If that is the case, so can The the rebirth of the Baker. I think we can all agree that Mineral Wells is not Hot Springs.

Corporate retreat just outside of town so damnyankees and furriners can go play Cowboy? Yeah. Add in kitsch and things Mitch's wife would buy? Done.

Dinosaur tracks? That way.

Deer and hogs and dove? Plenty.

Ghosts? Sure, get their dollars too.

I like the music venue aspect too. Go see a show and swerve my way upstairs? Count me in.

There is also a kingdom of possums not far away.

this is one of the last big ones

San Angelo saved theirs a while back http://www.cactushotel.net/

and Big Spring was mentioned already

Plainview just got a project going for their much smaller former Hilton https://www.kcbd.com/2019/04/25/conrad-lofts-another-development-milestone-downtown-plainview/

Amarillo needs their big hotel to be redone https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/311-SE-3rd-Ave-Amarillo-TX/11186230/

and Lubbock had their smaller one done a while back http://mcdougal.com/listings/pioneer-condos/
