December 2, 20187 yr Well we won the 4th quarter by 2 points. Lost the game by 18 and really it wasn’t even that close
December 3, 20187 yr Texas (MSU), OU (Auburn), WV (Mizzou), OSU (Tenn) and Tech (Florida) all lost their Big 12/SEC matchups. The bottom tier of the conference won their games - ISU (Arky), TCU (Ole Miss) KSU (Vandy) and KU (LSU). Lordy, it’s up to Baylor to at least end it in a tie. They’re up 20 at the half
December 9, 20187 yr Any time we start to make a run, we’ll miss a bunny layup on our end and Tenn will knock down a 3 on theirs. Demoralizing. Tenn up by 6 with 4 minutes to go
December 9, 20187 yr Tenn wins 88-82. They led the entire second half even though they never led by more than 7. We Couldn’t get over the hump.
December 9, 20187 yr I think we’re barely top 25 material this year. In conference play we will lose 5-7 games. Baylor twice (duh) plus at ISU at WVU and a couple more
December 9, 20187 yr Not having multiple legit threats from Bta really limits us in our half court offense.

Baylor twice (duh) plus at ISU at WVU and a couple more It was already a rebuild year and that was before we lost Higgs (our best player) and Holmes (2nd/3rd best player). Granted, Holmes was back against Tennessee but she's nowhere close to 100% yet. When Higgs was injured this season was over. She's our best defender and best scorer. Best thing Aston can do this year is to get young players experience and run it back next year with Higgs. I hope they RS Prince too. Not worth playing her half a year for a season that's already lost because of the Higgs injury. Edited December 10, 20187 yr by texasstrong12
December 11, 20187 yr They need to add 10 adult beverages to that deal for it to be worth it this year Edited December 11, 20187 yr by perfectchaos007
December 16, 20187 yr We pulled away from Stetson late. Way too many turnovers by us today against this 1-8 team
December 20, 20187 yr 3-7 OU was leading #1 UConn pretty much the entire game until the 4th quarter when UConn finally took the lead and pulled away. Wtf
December 26, 20186 yr Author Here's the Australian I mentioned earlier in the thread. I really like this addition. Reminds me a lot of Kristy Wallace. She had a lot of options from top programs. Edited December 26, 20186 yr by texasstrong12
December 29, 20186 yr I'll say this, if we shoot 67% from 3 with 15 attempts per game, we'll win a lot of games. I won't hold my breath, but it does seem like the entire team is exorcising some 3 point demons against this poor team.
December 30, 20186 yr Author Next year's team will be good if Higgs comes back. Littleton and Warren weren't highly ranked but they're better than a lot of 5 stars that have come through this program in recent years. Starting 5: Higgs, Sutton, Collier, Holmes and Warren. Littleton, Prince, Underdood, Allen-Taylor, Celeste Taylor, and the 2 Australians off the bench. That team will win some games. The Australian above (Palmer) will contribute early. She's a floor general and the type of FR that play early. Edited December 30, 20186 yr by texasstrong12
January 2, 20196 yr Ok State comes to town tonight. They are 9-2 overall, with a bunch of cupcake wins and losses to Tennessee (63-76) and UCLA (59-71). Guard heavy, they don't rely on any one post player to handle the load. Both Gnanou (7 starts, 16.2 mpg) and De Lapp (3 starts, 17.2 mpg) split time at center. 3 players hitting over 40% from deep, so we will need to watch for them. It's really the Gray (17 ppg) and Miller (17.8 ppg) show and everyone else just chips in here and there.
January 2, 20196 yr Sounds like we need to put pressure on their 3 point shooters. Make them beat us with long 2 point jumpers
January 2, 20196 yr Why, if only our standout perimeter defender wasn't out with an ACL injury. Womp womp.
January 3, 20196 yr Guessing 850 here so we’re allowed to move up, kids are digging being able to sit a few rows up tonight.
January 4, 20196 yr Baylor upset UConn today by 11. UConn hadn’t lost a regular season game in 4 years
January 4, 20196 yr Doesn’t feel like a dominant team right now. UConn has no depth and not much size. Baylor/MSU are bad matchups for them.
