Medicare for All is what's going to happen. It's going to be what people 65 and older have now. There is a place for private insurance companies in the current Medicare system.

This isn't hard.

Because of relatively recent godawful right-wing reforms that waste billions of taxpayer dollars every year.

Liberals are a cancer

It's not even a matter of dying in the street.  People who have communicable diseases that go untreated run around and infect other people.  It's not an immigration issue; it's a public-health issue.

Yang is right. Why are democrats talking about illegal immigrants so much.

Thats for Republicans to scare people

My father immigrated to the United States, I want to touch Tulsi’s heinie.

Where do the 100K immigrants wait for their civil court date?

That is absolutely the truth.  There are other ways to control costs and the government can be involved in leading the way.  I love how Harris is so upset at Big Pharma and Insurance making profit off of sick people but (no offense intended for this next part) but there are plenty of hospital officials and doctors making a shit ton off of sick people but no one on this stage has the balls to call that out.

Of course they won't be going away. They will have Medicare Advantage plans and supplemental plans.

Employer provided health care is what's going away.

Agree with you on that but then who would they blame the rising costs of health care on.  Get rid of the private insurers and have the federal government take it over as long as when my kid breaks his arm and I take him to the ER I don’t have to $5K for a X-ray.  The costs will still be there.

Does the insurance industry get a lot smaller?

Tulsi is shiny. She needs someone to clean her off.

I volunteer as tribute

Every time tulsi says something the other candidates pivot to an attack on Biden.

Shut up Deblasio Blasio

I don't think Biden was expecting these attacks before the last debate.

Not necessarily as Medicare Advantage would take care of that.  The problem would be that 70% of the hospitals would go out of business in 6 months if they had to accept Medicare or Medicare Advantage rates vs the group/commercial payments they get that subsidizes the Medicaid and Medicare rates they receive.

For the love of god this. She's going to want to speak to CNN's manager after this with the lack of facetime she's getting.

Medicare Advantage didn't really become a major factor until the right-wing administrations of the late 80s. Stop fucking acting like it's a natural and vital part of Medicare.

Status Update

1. Kamela took some punches and is weakened slightly.

2. Joe is moving sideways looking old.

3. Castro reasonably strong again

4. Yang way better than last time.

5. Verónica not bad.

6. Bennet is done

7. Booker has had the best improvement so far, even though he hasn’t said much. That’s how you win by the way.

8. De Blasio was a joke last time but actually is a little better this time.

9. Inslee is still irrelevant.

10. Tulsi not bad.

We may see healthcare in action shortly when Biden keels over on the stage.

They'd also stop having uninsured and underinsured patients where the hospital winds up eating the bill. That's a significant chunk of change for many hospitals.

Of course they say that now.

Most of them will figure it out or get gobbled up by bigger hospitals.

Biden is going to get bitchslapped by Trump in the real debates.

In a good number of states CA, NY and states in the midwest as much as 40+% of Medicare beneficiaries are in MAPD. Political reality is that you are not going to shed MAPD.

Well it’s over. Biden just named Booker future president.

awesome Biden.  Real smooth.  Fuckin Symone is just real happy with her choices right now i bet.

One problem rarely discussed is the issues facing rural hospitals which are closing at a very rapid rate. I'm not sure that bigger private hospitals are willing to gobble them up to help provide adequate care out in the countryside.

After Pharma, Hospitals are the biggest crooks in the healthcare industry.  Real talk.

The benefits can't be shed, but the program administering it can (and will) be changed and virtually no one will give a fuck.

Whether good or bad it is also the largest growing segment of Medicare beneficiaries.  It’s not going anywhere.

Biden cant even make a coherent sentence. His advisers have good retorts he just can't get it out correctly.

Biden is such a fucking clownshow. Just head to the retirement home and be done with it.
