FUUUUUCK. Huge chance for Federer to go up a minibreak and he shanks the forehand.

And he gets broken right after.

Fuck. First set, and likely the match, to Novak

Yep.  A shame for Fed too, as I though he played better in the set overall - just had too many missed opportunities.

Novak with 4 straight to go from saving the set to winning the set in the tie-breaker.

Now I can take an hour break from watching and see if Roger gets back into the match.

Lol Novak is so dramatic when he slips.

Whoa, Federer breaks to open the set!

Novak’s lull seems to have started after he fell. Interesting to see how he comes out in the 3rd set.

Yeah, I'm not sure this is entirely mental.  Wonder if he's hurting?

Novak with a double-fault to seal the 2nd set for Federer in rapid-time 😶 what's going on?

Exact repeat of the Federer-Nadal SF so far, hopefully it diverges from here.

Just a dominant service game for Federer.  Doesn't look like there's anything Djokovic can do about Federer charging to the net.

I mean, 0 break points in two sets for Novak.

But Federer's losing every medium-to-long rally.

Set point gone for Federer... fuck. Federer has no answer for the body serve.

Fed has been the far superior player for most of the match. He's had some brainfarts in critical moments or this could have been a simple straight sets win. Hope he keeps this level up and doesn't choke away a third set that he deserves.

Question from a casual observer. Why are the fans so seemingly heavily behind Federer?

#287

This TB is infuriating. Fed breaking down in critical points like he used to against Rafa pre-2017...Novak is gonna have a 2-1 set lead without getting a single BP opportunity. Disgusting.

He's always been extremely popular, especially with the Brits.  They like his game and his graciousness.

It's a beautiful day.  Let's play five!

In a carryover from the USWNT thread, somehow the women, who play Best-Of-3 now earn the same as the Best-of-5 men.

Serena, who won 4 whole games in less than an hour, is “fighting for equality” when she will make the same as the loser of this (probably) 4+ hour match.

SIDE NOTE: Wish I had this on TV. 😔
