Non Seasonal Family Insanity Thread
Yeah, I've been around long enough to know all that but you have to admit that the journey from carnies to secret agents to incestuous LGBTQ types might be worth more than one "wow". But I was raised a simple Mennonite so what do I know?

Interesting unit of measurement. I would give your story 2 Torbushs but they are pretty subjective, I suppose.

Huge Piece of Shit and alleged Woman Abuser Chris Beard has been hired at Mississippi
You have to wait until Wichita State is finished with him. We gonna get another choker to clean up the mess caused by our earlier choker.

The "Post a Picture You Took" thread
We spent a week in Pacific Grove/Pebble Beach the week before Christmas. Luckily, we made the trip before Southwest shit the bed and a river of rain hit the peninsula. These are old iPhone pictures, best I can do. Sunset from below Pebble Beach. Sunrise from Lover's Point Bald Eagles on a carcass below my house when we returned.

Jeff Beck RIP
This song, dedicated to guitarist Roy Buchanan, was composed by longtime friend Stevie Wonder as an apology to Jeff for releasing "Superstition" first. This is what Beck is referring to in the liner notes on the back of the album when he says, "thanks to Stevie." @jimmyjazz

Hey Steel Shank!
Emil Joseph Kapaun (April 20, 1916 – May 23, 1951) was a Roman Catholic priest and United States Army captain who served as a United States Army chaplain during World War II and the Korean War. Kapaun was a chaplain in the Burma Theater of World War II, then served again as a chaplain with the U.S. Army in Korea, where he was captured. He died in a prisoner of war camp. In 1993, Pope John Paul II declared him a Servant of God, the first stage on the path to canonization. In 2013, Kapaun posthumously received the Medal of Honor for his actions in Korea. He is the ninth American military chaplain Medal of Honor recipient.

Hey Steel Shank!
Today's lunch. The local Czech ladies from Pilsen make bierrocks and kolaches to support their church. It's the home church of Father Emil Kapaun of Korean war fame. We bought several dozen to feed everyone today. The smaller one is a cheese and sausage whatever and the bigger is sausage cheese and scrambled eggs. Delicious.

I knew who LaSalle was but I never associated him with Texas. His exploits in the Great Lakes region got all of the attention in History classes that I attended. It's been a long time since I visited Bullock but it sounds like I need to return.

Old-School American Comfort Food
I haven't been north of SF yet but it looks like I should go up next time. That looks fantastic. We travel to Maine and Monterey just about every year and I have yet to find a place in New England that will serve a plate like that. We have found several on the west coast that do.

Random thoughts that don't warrant a thread
I don't know, man. If I don't put the bourbon or rum in there, the egg nog just sits there for weeks.
