Texas Football Podcasts, Press Conferences & Interviews Thread
Couldn't figure out why I found myself pulling for Hudson Card in the QB race. I just realized it is because I never want to hear another interview by FCB with Charles Thompson on the Flagship.

2020 - 2021 Dallas Mavericks: That motherfu*ker in Dallas is coming
I hate Cuban more and more every year. His novelty has long worn off. I liked Donnie, but it has been a long decade. Rick is a great coach, but he can be stubborn and seems like he just wants to coach his players. I think the rooster moves may be limited, and maybe the best chance is just new leadership. If Avery can get us to the finals in year one, maybe a decent hire gives us a chance.

Waco Attorneys Arrested in Murder for Hire Plot
Waco is so weird. I have only handled a couple of cases there, but everything about that courthouse is crazy. Nothing out of there surprises me.

Cattle & Ranching
I refuse to wish it would stop raining as well, but I am not quite as excited about it. We just had another big rain hit. Makes me glad that were able to get 16 new calves worked on Saturday when the weather was nice. Still had about 5 or 6 more that didn't come up, but at least it will be a little easier next time.

Memorial Day
I posted this a few years back on facebook. It is still what I think about every memorial day, and I thought it might be appropriate here. Five summers ago I was lucky enough to get to spend a weekend with one of my heroes. Along with my grandfather, my brother, and my cousin, I attended a reunion of my grandfather's unit from World War II. It was a great time, but it also forever changed the way I look at Memorial Day. I have always had an appreciation for Veteran's Day. I know plenty of Veterans, and it happens to have been my grandmother's birthday. The problem with Memorial Day is that I didn't know anyone personally who had made the ultimate sacrifice. Poppy had told me plenty of stories about his days in the army prior to that moment, but they had tended to focus more on the positive. A completely different side of my grandfather appeared when we approached one of the first exhibits at the museum. It was simply a sign on the wall that listed all of the soldiers who had fought in his unit and given their lives for us. As I stood with Poppy, he spoke a little softer and proceeded to point out the stories behind the names. "He died right in front of me." "He was my best friend." As he continued on through many more names, both of us started to tear up. I remember at one point toward the end of the list, Poppy said that he was providing cover fire to one of the names. He then trailed off as he stated that he guessed he didn't do a good enough job. It tore me apart to see one of my heroes hurt like that, and I just wanted to make him feel better. While I felt sad, I also felt honored that Poppy had shared with me some of his heroes and how much they meant to him. Sorry if this was too long, but it's Memorial Day. Thank you to all of Poppy's brothers and sisters in arms and all of our heroes who gave everything for us.

Cattle & Ranching
All three are going strong. The heifer was huge so we moved her to the twenty acres next to the house to watch over her. Once they were born we kept them in the pens and have been giving the mom extra cake. We did try to lighten the load a bit with bottles but only one, the bull calf, would take a bottle. Mom is still nursing all three.

Cattle & Ranching
Our ranch made the paper. We recently had a heifer give birth to triplets, and all three survived. Our family has been ranching a long time, and this is the first time for us. Ranching couple describe 'miracle' birth of triplet Angus calves (brownwoodtx.com)
