Great game for Rusk! Nephew scored two TDS and a two pt conversation and had 8 catches for 100+ yards. He should have had another TD but got tackled on the one. Whole team played well because Salado wasn’t a good matchup (on paper) because they run the option and Rusk’s rush defense is not very good. Owen McCown (Josh McCown’s kid) had a great game. Threw for 5 TDs and ran for another.
Bo sent two clear messages. To the team-get on the train or get in the MF portal. To his dline recruits-this shit you’ve been seeing won’t be tolerated and you can easily start day one.
So my nephew is leading the state with 100 receptions and over 1000 yards. Next closest has 80 receptions. He’s also the punter, kick & punt returner and plays safety. They have really struggled with getting everyone on the same page or those numbers could be much higher. Two games ago he had two TDs called back because of penalties for example. They play Salado in the first round this weekend. Should be a great game. When they played Carthage their coach said they wouldn’t do anything different to defend my nephew but after 80 yards in the 1st half they double and triple teamed him in the second half. He’s been getting double teamed most of the year. OK, brag time is over.
How can the coaches be quiet and sheepish and Sark is getting into a yelling match with Moore? Also when the TV pans to Sark after a jacked up play he looks pretty annoyed and is many times yelling at whoever is on the headset.
But somehow Casey played just fine at the beginning of OSU and Baylor before going to shit. Does his thumb only hurt in the second half of games? Oh and the 1st half of ISU.
Well Texas usually makes back up QBs look like Heisman contenders. That being said this team has a bunch of front runners on it so if they don’t get any resistance they will pounds the other team(Tech). It’s when the other team fights back that this team folds. Won’t surprise me if Texas dominates this game even though we look horrible right now.
My nephew plays HS football and they have a QB with a rocket arm, 6’4” division 1. He’s the prototype QB but he’s like a robot out there. He doesn’t process great touch and is successful because he is playing against weaker opponents. His younger brother, who would be the QB but for his senior brother already playing that position, plays receiver and DB/Safety and is a fucking playmaker. The older brother has the Power 5 offer but you can tell if you watch the games that the younger brother is the better football player. He’ll play QB next year and I’m guessing won’t get any power 5 offers. If I had to guess I would put my money on the younger brother to make it to the NFL way before the older brother with all the measurables. One just has great football instincts and the other has great measurables. Seems like Texas more than not takes those that look great but lack great football instincts. By the way Jeff Traylor has already offered the younger one and hasn’t even seen him play QB yet. Jeff just know a football player when he sees one.
