Yes do it! I think for your first you might want to do the closest one to you. There is so much that goes into it and it’s stressful enough without traveling 400 miles.
Reminds me of a guy I deal with at work names Ryan. Ryan is the master at coming in last minute to try and be a hero and look like the GM he is paid to be. The problem is he becoming the hero on something he initially fucked up because he is lazy. I had that exact talk with him a few months ago and he was flabbergasted.
3 hardcore puke sessions and 4 hours of toilet time and I think I am mostly out of it. I made a business decision when my wife started getting it yesterday around 2 to go ahead and get it so I will have time to recover. I’m down 7 pounds
It’s race week so of course the whole house is extremely sick. I just woke up to puke and shit non stop. Good news is that this should pass in about 15 more hours.
I feel like we’ve become friends over the last year pm’ing about questions and talking on here. I knew the swim cancelling the day of would get you down but you finished. I am happy for you and saw a lot of improvement from your 1st to your 2nd.
I am planning on being done with Chattanooga after this year but if you come up next year I would change my mind.
Pearlandhorn is off the bike and is faster than last year. He slowed down a little towards the end. Let’s see how these run splits go as he might have cooked himself on the bike.
I got in and swam on the opposite side of the course and went upstream and back. I was about to die going upstream and had a mild panic attack but settled in. Look at those dogshit splits going up. Still wasn’t flying heading back but I was tired and it was choppy.
Going to be a wet race. The rain is going to make you think you aren’t sweating but you are. Drink more than you think we should. Don’t forget Ironman is an eating competition first.
