  1. I'm seeing more of those birds lately at night in the Montrose area. You can walk right next to them - not shy at all.
  2. I was there for lunch Saturday. Really good food and wine at affordable prices.

???? Korean? Go to Gessner or Chinatown. It's a drive if you are inner loop. Maybe Handam,Tree Garden or Bon. Mapajeong if you want some good Korean with a bunch of white people. It's actually pretty good though.
  4. One away

There's also a bar downstairs at Mike's Pastry that not many people know about. It's nice

Mamma Maria is solid. Mike's. You can find a connoli pretty much elsewhere if that is what you are looking for. Including Modern Pastry a block away without the line. Mike's does have some other bad ass pasties though.
  7. I enjoy my Camp Chef. I've had it sitting outside for 7 years and no issues.
  8. Only west coast IPA. Not too hoppy though. None of that shitty east coast hazy shit. I guess that makes me a smug asshole.
  9. Does anyone here recommend a financial advisor? Please post here or PM
  10. It's a nice spot. I have a feeling that corner area is going to get some new development coming up.
  11. Those are Dream moves. And the 25 sec mark is an exact replica of what Hakeem did to Robinson.
  12. I went to Elro Pizza + Crudo tonight. Decently priced and will be back. Nothing spectacular but it was solid food. I prefer NY style thin crust, but the crust was still crispy and toppings were good. Crudo was good.

I take that back. Was at Bad Astronaut today and it was miserable inside.

Trill Burger just opened a brick and mortar at the old James Coney Island location. Lines are ridiculous so I'm waiting a month or so to check it out.

It isn't that hot inside. Wouldn't call Great Heights kid friendly. There isn't anything for those hooligans to do.

I went to Bad Astronaut Brewery last weekend with some friends. I swear that place had more kids running around that adults in the early afternoon.
  17. The correct approach is to offer to pay for the check on the first date. If they want to go dutch, just say something like "I've got this if you don't mind. You have the next round wherever we go after this". You will know right then if she is into you or not.

I've been chasing sunsets on roof rooftop bars. Bangkok and KL so far. The best rooftop bar ever is in Kuala Lumpur. It's an old helipad with a 360 view of the city. No railing at all 34 stories up. Drinks and service suck but worth it.

I'm lazy. Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and final stop Singapore. Penang has been the most interesting place. Bangkok too much riff-raff. Would have been fun 20 years ago. Good spots on side streets out of the busy spots. Still would recommend. Malaysia is the best country I've been without a doubt for the best and cheapest food I have ever had. I haven't spent over $5 for a meal. KL is your typical cosmo city and fun. Penang is very unique. Chinese, Indian, and Malaysian culture. Lot's of everything. Singapore in a couple days. I'm sure that will be $$$$

I'm down for something like that. I'm traveling solo in Asia at the moment. It's nice because I can do what the hell I want, but also gets boring at times eating and drinking alone. Although I do tend to meet random locals and travelers like myself occasionally. Hostels are good for meeting people and you can get private rooms. I just can't bring myself to booking one.
  21. Damn. Heading to Malaysia tomorrow
  22. The 7-11 in Bangkok has quite the selection of Lay's. Might them all depending on how much I drink tonight. Lobster roll flavor is not bad.
  23. The Houston Press Article isn't online anymore. He walked from Highway 6 to Elgin with friend.
  24. Was in Guadalajara a couple of weeks ago and visited the Cascahuin distillery. You can find the plata 48 repisado pretty easily, but the extra anejo is hard to find. Worth the purchase at the distillery
