None of it happened. Not the war in heaven, nor the dispatch of Satan, nor the bedtime story BFisch described, nor the question from his daughter (although the daughter may be real). Do you really think a seven year old child is actually going to know, or care about, a college baseball coach?

Schlossed and confused: When panic leads to an Earley hire
So when the buyout is paid, I assume there will be a standard form to be signed acknowledging receipt. And I further assume said document will contain a general release. Do the aggy faithful really believe the school will refuse to accept $3 million from Texas so they can reserve some spurious tort claim?

College soccer recruiting help?
My son played at a mid level D1 program, but it was about a decade ago and I'm sure the landscape has changed totally in that time, largely due to the academy system that has developed. Don't expect a ton of scholarship money. D1 has 9.9 for the entire team and D2 has 9. (D3 has none.) They can be spilt up as small as 25% for a single player. Rely on the school and club coach for objective assessment and suggestions as to college possibilities. Be proactive in reaching out to college coaches. Much of the recruitment occurs during the junior year. Club performance matters much more than HS. There are showcase tournaments that are well attended by college coaches and he needs to be on a team that can get accepted for those tournaments. There are also summer camps at many colleges run by the coaches, and you should look into those. Good luck.

If you have a couple of extra days, Shetland is well worth the effort. You can take an overnight ferry from Dundee or a very short flight. If you've watched the TV series you'll love it.

That one's gone now. Replaced by an upscale (i.e. more expensive) bistro style restaurant.

Questions for those with criminal or constitutional law expertise: I assume that SCOTUS would have jurisdiction in a state criminal case only if a constitutional issue is raised, e.g Miranda. 1. Can a defendant appeal directly to SCOTUS, or does the appeal have to run its course through the state appellate courts first? 2. Is the alleged constitutional defect waived if it not raised in the trial court and preserved? 3. Were any such claims made by Trump in the trial court?

At this point it's all about offense. We have to score 10+ in every game. If we do that there's a chance.

It is my greatest hope that Trump's lawyers ask for an expedited appeal and it is denied by return email.

I heard an interview today with a woman who had been a juror on a trial that lasted two months. Deliberations took over a week. Unanimous guilty verdict.
