I bought an additional Eero wifi extender. Already had two, but trying to fix one dead spot. Discover one I had in a hallway was missing. Me: You know what happened to that thing that was plugged in the.plug in the upstairs hallway? Her: You mean that night light? Me: well, it did have a light on it, so yes. Her: I threw it away. It was ugly. I bought a new light, just haven't plugged it in. I think you will like it. Me: I'm sure I will.
Cumberland had a "Camp Recovery" in October where about 70 former patients camped at a state park near Nashville for a long weekend. The guy I was in detox with and I bunked together in a small, 1930s log hut. It was the first year they have done that but I plan to go from now on. I got more from that weekend than I could ever imagine. It was all of the best parts of being in treatment, without the long, long, days and monotony. I tried my first shot at holotropic breathing (FUCKING AWESOME) and some really great sessions with a great trauma counselor. Guitar pull happened as well.
Justin Townes Earle. Only show love ever walked out of. I've never seen an act insult and berate an audience like he did that night. And for no fucking reason outside of his huge, over-inflated ego.
I'm putting together a new small acoustic board so curious about this as well. Only thing for sure is LR Baggs Venue for DI and preamp. Also ordered a Boss DM 101 Delay Machine that is $200 off right now. Also some reverb. Playing with that now. I have a Hall of Fame for basic and also a Strymon Cloudburst that does all kinds of weird shit. Probably go with the HOF.
Says a ton about humble he is and how much respect the had for Toni. I've only talked to him a couple of times, but seemed to be extremely sincere and a great guy. Our longest talk was him telling me the story about his cut up strat.
HenryJames do you know what this reference is about? I can't find it. I played in a few bands with Ken, he's an interesting dude. Very, very smart and very much encamped in left field. Apparently, in fall of 95, he made some joke about Buck Owens. People complained. He wrote that Kelly got his joke which apparently want true. Toni wrote him a letter. I found the fallout, just not the so called joke. I asked Kelly about it. She said, "I remember that. She got more angry than I did! I felt loved."
Damn, didn't know he was back with Sturgill. He was still a mess last time I saw him with Drivn'n'Cryin. They were hiding the bottle of vodka from him from the time they showed up at the venue.
On the "Fuck Me News" ... I took my 2001 Taylor to my luthier to get a loose jack fixed. He is looking it over.... Yep, let's do a setup while it is here....frets redressed? Sure....first 4 showing signs of wear. Then he looks at the bridge, pulls out a gauge...... I can't believe I haven't noticed the bridge pulling away from the body. My acoustics stay out on the hangers but they are in the basement at a fairly constant 50% humidity.
So, my $50 job turned into a $500 plus bill. But I bought that guitar new over 23 years ago and never done anything to it. But the acoustics are going to stay in their cases from now on. New humidifiers packs ordered....hello Sweetwater Candy Shipment!
My wife bought one of those years ago. She spent some amount of time telling me the benefits.....I glazed over after 5 minutes. The next week she is telling me how great she is feeling and what a huge benefit it provides. I still haven't told her I unplugged it after the first night.
She gave one to my dad. He told her Thank You and then later asked me if she was trying to kill him by getting electrocuted at night or during a thunderstorm. I told him I unplugged ours.......I got the knowing nod of a job well done.
Damn Breeders Cup ate up all of my football winnings. Went from 10 units up to 7 down..... recouped some of that today. Hopefully Chiefs get me back to 10 down.
I missed the first race of the Pick 5 yesterday and got the next 4. Eddie Olczyk his on a $5 trifecta for $2300. I had been following him most of the day and just went with the Exacta. $2100 difference in his payout and mine. I was really needing two longshots to key with Thorpedo Anna and the same with Sierra Leone. Just didn't come through but what a great day of racing.
Mike and his wife, Chrislyn Lawrence have a new record out under the name of Crow and Gazelle. https://www.crowandgazelle.com Very folkie and stripped down. Good listen but very different from The Great Divide.
