  1. No, we dont have any health problems at all. We are all fit and healthy. But as the person who is responsible for keeping my family safe, I am not going to send them out to get sick before there are therapies in place to address. I don't think therapies are that far off. Vaccines are another story. I am prepared to do whatever it takes to keep my family happy and healthy. But I don't believe it will be 12-18 months. I believe we can get mass testing in place over the next 60-90 days, if we start now. I believe we will have effective therapies over the same period of time. We have masks so we are good on that one.
  2. Fuck China for how they handled this. Fuck the US Government for how they continue to handle this. No one from my family will venture out into the world until: 1. Widespread and readily available testing is put in place so we can isolate and contact trace; 2. Effective therapies have been developed that reduce the risk of serious illness; and 3. Masks are worn until the virus has been effectively defeated.
  3. somewhat related: took two clients to the Salt Bae guy's restaurant in NYC in February. i cant imagine doing that now. crazy shift in thinking.
  4. A good friend of mine played ball with Clayton Smith's dad and they are still close to this day. Smith looks pretty good in burnt orange...
  5. It sounds like Ash's approach is similar to what TCU does (LT plays TCU's D). The Rover / Spur is a safety/LB hybrid that plays run first, and practices with the LBs. The Boundary safety and corner are what make all the coverages work as the boundary corner is often in man and the boundary safety is either in man, is free, and/or is erasing the mistakes of others either in run or pass.
  6. let me fix that for you: 30 rock > the office > community > parks and rec.
  7. Ah ha! Yeah, that is worse than suicide. i dont mess with her grocery shopping. i did that one time, ONE TIME in the past and learned to never try to be helpful with the groceries again.
  8. yes that is the alternative. but am trying to keep everyone home as much as possible.
  9. ok, need help with assisting the wife in shopping. she is resisting switching to online shopping. i have no idea why but she has not embraced it at all. So, can you use Favor for HEB? i know they started a program for seniors but is that just the hotline? What about everyone else? Can you just order on Favor? Any other good methods? Shipt? Instacart and HEB curbside are weeks out. I keep telling her to go ahead and order on those for the available dates but she keeps dragging her feet and then the dates keep bumping out. So anyone help you can provide so i dont have to reinvent the wheel, i would appreciate.
  10. thank you!
  11. does anyone have a good stream?
  12. Does anyone have a link to surgical masks (not N95) that they would recommend?
  13. recs on best home delivery for groceries in the Austin area? pros and cons? trying to convince the wife that she can farm this out and still get what she wants.
  14. Today was a good day... For YOU! LOL
  15. i totally bought in at first and then FUCK YOU! lol...
  16. hahaha... that made me laugh. thanks. i needed that.
  17. yeah, i totally get it. i am helping financially support both my brother and sister at this point. neither has a plan moving forward other than big plans that take a year or more to develop before income starts rolling in. just go get a job!!! i wouldnt do it except if i didnt, my mom would and thats a whole other stress.
  18. deep breath my friend. this too shall pass. we are going through a lot of the same issues. one son is graduating and is off to Seattle. trying to find housing half way across the US has been interesting. the other is trying to find a house to lease next year after failing to secure the one he is currently leasing. daughter is frustrated because the girls she wants to room with want to rent furnished and she doesnt. neither are giving in at this point. my brother is going through some pretty bad addiction issues. my sister is out of work and living in a penthouse in LA with no plan for future income. meanwhile i am being asked (because its my role) to solve everyone's problems and trying to work on my cases at the same time. oh and did i tell you that we traded in my wife's suv for a new one over the weekend? and then she decided that she didnt want this new one anymore. so we drove out to bastrop to exchange vehicles only to find out that they already sold her old suv.... oh boy....
  19. #kindawhitepeopleproblems
  20. No Minnesota accents. Lol
  21. from my point of view, she made a few mistakes: 1. She never differentiated herself from Bernie - this was critical to her success. She should have positioned herself as the candidate that bridged the gap between the moderates and the progressive. Progressive Social Policies married to Capitalism. But instead she went with "I'm with Bernie" 2. Well that worked until she freaked everyone out with her M4A plan. People do not pick candidates based on their policies. The more specific you get, the more ammo you are giving to your rivals. Just pick good, general plans that are kind of vague and non-specific. People pick their candidates based on their person, ethics, morals, personality, effectiveness, and whether they believe in them.; 3. And then when it was time to start pointing out the differences between her and the Bern, she chose to attack Bloomberg over and over and over again until it started feeling way too personal. She didnt realize that she was helping Biden and hurting herself. She should have been balancing her criticisms of Bloomberg with showing how she is different that Bernie and Biden. I love her and thought she would make a great president but she made lot of tactical mistakes along the way.
  22. <= Pic she moved to Texas with her family in 7th grade so no accent.
  23. Same for us other than wife is from Minnesota instead of Asian. Everyone wants a revolution until they are in power and then revolutions dont look like such a great idea anymore. Your reasons are almost exactly our reasons for moving from Warren to Biden. It will be interesting to see who he picks for VP. Harris? Abrams? Klobuchar? I would love Warren but dont think it will happen.
