There were never tent cities in Austin out in the open until the last couple of years when the Austin city council made camping in public within the city limits legal.
On May 1 Austin voters will decide if it will become illegal once again.
Great win! I am so pumped about this team. And the supporters making these road trips are so freaking awesome.
Shame about Sweat. I hope his knee injury isn't too bad. I also hope the Pochettino "registration" issue is resolved ASAP!
Opinions are like assholes, but I'm flabbergasted that anyone doesn't think that looks fucking great.
And compared to the janky ass bleachers in the open horseshoe we had before this is some Taj Mahal level shit.
Hook em!
Not sure if serious but I believe the others are in thousands as well, but the guy was just too lazy to type it out.
If I missed the joke I humbly apologize.
I really like Indeed Tower as well. The crown lighting looks great.
6xGuadalupe is about to start making an impact on the skyline. The glass installation has begun, and it's unlike anything else that's gone up in Austin. And of course being 848' tall, it will have quite the presence on the skyline.
I heard there's a bill in the lege to require everyone wear bullet proof vests, and socially distance to prevent/and or minimize the effects of shootings. I for one wholeheartedly support this measure to prevent the spread of mass shootings.
Especially this year.
I believe these three murders bring the city of Austin to 26 murders thus far in 2021. May not sound too bad compared to many places, but if the pace continues, by year's end the city will have had the most murders it's ever recorded.
I think sometime in the mid 90s the city had 50 or so murders, and that was when it was a lot smaller.
Looked really good at times, but the start of the second half was brutal.
I thought the substitutions Wolf made provided a needed spark towards the end of the match.
It's very early, but after watching La Copita and this match I am concerned about Cecilio. He hasn't shown much yet.
I really like Ring and Poche. I think Redes has a bright future. I think Zan and Gallagher looked good, and need minutes.
Has anyone heard anything on Greg Brown returning, or is it pretty much a forgone conclusion he'll declare/transfer?
I'd really like to see him in Burnt Orange another year to develop under Beard. With the transfers coming in, I'd assume Texas would be pretty damn good next season if he sticks around.
Just an interesting fact I recently learned, before the pandemic MLS was drawing more fans to it's games than both NBA and NHL.
I'm not saying that's the only metric to judge a league upon, but MLS is a pretty big deal these days. It's come a long ways since it was founded in 1996.
