Google Stadia
I am not a fan of a streaming service for my games, but I will be interested to see how this plays out. I also cannot see them competing with the established players (XBOX/PS) but maybe they will find a way to exist.

ESPN finally getting its shit together- no more politics
I think it goes deeper than politics as well. I stopped watching the shows because it was over-the-top. Everything had to have a message. Everyone had to scream. I can check my phone for scores and get highlights off of their app with less desire to vomit. I turned on Golic and Wingo this morning on my drive to work. I actually liked the first segment that they did, but then they played a clip of Stephen A screaming about Magic Johnson that went on for at least 60 seconds. I had to flip back to MLB Radio Network.

2019 St Louis Cardinals
We are about where I thought we would be. 500 ball club but not a real contender. I think that we overachieved in April and underachieved in May. We still need to find two more reliable starters. I feel like moving Wacha and Hudson might be good ideas. As much as I like Ozuna, I think there might be trade value out there for him. We have a lot of OFs already, so maybe we can package Ozuna and Wacha/Hudson in a deal for a starter or minor league depth. Waino is probably done but I can also see him being a gamer for us down the stretch. I would be ok with seeing what de Leon, Gomber and Reyes can do when healthy at the big league level.

Bench is great for me as well. I have been grabbing cheap cards to go through each “level” for each team. I was able to get through most of the teams above by using the stubs that I earned through games.

2019 ATH Bru McCoy
Move along, Bru. The last thing QB1 needs is a fucking flake at wideout. This program isn’t some Mack Brown juice box bullshit anymore.

MLB the Show 19
Cheap Live Series Collections to Finish. Pirates, reds (diamond Dave Parker), diamondbacks, twins, Miami, Texas, Oakland, white Sox, Detroit, KC, Baltimore and the free agents. All come with card rewards, but more importantly XP. The collections and conquests are good to boost XP for the XP rewards.

MLB the Show 19
Here are the gold players that I still use that I like a lot: Matt Chapman -3B love the diamond fielding rating Trea Turner SS - solid contact guy, great speed Jonathan Schoop 2B - throwback card / solid contact and good power against lefties. Johnny Bench C - solid contact and diamond fielding Tommy Pham - Bench Bat due to power against lefties Marcell Ozuna - Great balance for hitting both righties and lefties. Poor fielder though Kevin Kiemaier - Ok contact hitter, great diamond fielder Clark mentioned above Steve Garvey - Throwback great contact and gold fielding Keith Hernandez - 1B throwback. Good contact and fielding. Get him from the Hernandez conquest map. Brett Cecil Throwback Reliever - great bull pen arm Johnny Venters Throwback Reliever. Great arm and a bit over powered IMO Blame Treinen - Live Closer. *Sorry for the long list! These are all guys that I use over a good number of diamonds.

MLB the Show 19
I am just shooting to reach 200 stars each program. I would suggest doing every conquest possible. Free packs, cards and coins. Use the coins to complete cheap collections such as the A’s. The cards you get in packs will always be useful somewhere. I am in the same position as you. I get to play about 45 minutes each night, so my time is limited. Also, be sure to play Battle Royale and Events as much as possible to get some decent cards. You can also get a Diamond Griffey by completing one of the partner missions, if you have not done do. I will send over my team tonight, but I can tell you that I still roll with golds in many spots where I have diamonds. For instance, Will Clark’s Rangers card is only an 84, but I crush the ball with him.

Longhorns playing summer baseball
We need as many guys as possible playing in summer leagues. We need some other coach to help them figure it out.

Yeah, I play franchise and DD. I am not enjoying moments this year, but I like that they tried something new.

[Surly Official Firing Squad] David Pierce Has Left The Building - FIRED
I am not on the fire Pierce bandwagon, but he needs to be held accountable for this collapse. I can understand that our talent is young, and maybe not worth anything, but you cannot just 180 a season like this.

Yep. We will be very streaky and there are some serious concerns. The starting staff has not been great. The pen has done a good job, but I expect plenty of blowups from them. Overall, the talent is just not great for our pitching group. A few guys who can shine, but will have many rough patches. The other issue is what do you do with our streaky hitters? We almost have to play Jose Martinez, but his glove is just not good. O’Neil cannot be kept at Memphis for too long. We are at a point where we need to define what we are looking for behind our pitchers. We have some good defensive guys, who lack with the bat. And we have other guys who are good within the bat, but form liabilities in the field. I do expect for Carp and Goldy to heat up soon, which will help a bit.

2019 Tampa Bay Rays Thread
I think some of it is just the struggle for roster composition. I am not sure that I have ever seen a trade offer that was not 2 for 1, 3 for 1 etc. As you stated, this is not directed at anyone in particular. I always find these type of trades hard to work with because it always ends up feeling like I am dropping people to make room for people that are comparable to the player(s) I am receiving. When that happens, it feels like a 1 for 1 trade where value can be lost. Not saying that is every trade, but a lot of offers end up that way in my opinion. I try to find a good counter, but I always run into blocks where I do not see a path forward. Also, there is the factor with needs based issues that prevent me from even entertaining multiple people on teams.

Nomaaa, is Hicks off the table? I just threw out that offer kicking tires but figured it would be a no.

Luckily for me, my Cub fan friends have not said a word. I think they realize that neither team is great this year. Good, not great.

2019 St Louis Cardinals
We are simply leaving too many men on base right now. I like how the offense looks legit, but we need to push more guys across. Obviously, our pitching is still worrisome. I have to think back over 10 years to remember having little to no faith in our staff. I still think Ponce de Leon deserves to be in the mix. Huge series starting today.

So, what does our recruiting look like? There is clearly little to no talent on the team right now, so is potential help on the way?
