I read the comments on here before watching the Spring Game.
What I expected to see based on what I read here...
1. Buechele and Ehlinger throwing mostly incompletions and throwing for about 100 yards combined.
2. Thompson and Rising looking amazing and hitting most of their throws.
What I actually saw...
1. Buechele and Ehlinger completing most of their passes for well over 100 yards each. Intermediate passing game looking okay. Misses on deep throws.
2. Thompson and Rising looking like freshman but showing some flashes.
Been watching lots of videos of DJ Moore, even his showing against Texas unfortunately.
He is way better than Ridley once he has the ball in his hands. He's like a RB and can drive defenders back. Kind of like Dez in that regard, but less reckless looking. He also has impressive hands and seems to make catches with defenders draped all over him. He definitely made Hill and Boyd look silly a couple times.
Both receivers should be productive, but Moore seems like the kind of guy that drives a defense crazy.
Last year, I wanted Dennis Smith for the Mavs from the beginning. Was thrilled when he dropped to us. This year, I'm hoping for...
1. Ayton
2. Doncic
After that, I kind of have Bamba, Bagley, Jackson, Mikal Bridges all about the same. Don't want Trae Young. Don't want Sexton because he's too much like Smith. Don't want Porter (yet, I'll end up talking myself into him) because I just don't know enough.
Keith Law had him graded as a potential top 10 pick coming out of high school.
This thread makes me think I'm alone in this, but I actually think he's going to be a good college QB, and he's kind of fun to watch.
OU sucks and all, but short QBs have done quite well at this level before.
They said the silent won't announce until next month. Then the next paragraph says Watson will announce May 4th. Makes it seem like it's Watson, but that isn't very subtle of them.
Didn't realize Floyd was ranked 40th in the nation. Damn.
Looks like we're building a defense that will be consistently; not just have a good year every few seasons.
What exactly happens when a kid breaks the "no visit policy"? They're really going to rescind an offer?
Sounds like an empty threat with no upside. Like when I was a kid and my parents wouldn't let me have ice cream one time and I claimed I'd never eat ice cream ever again. "...okay...?"
