Lolich went 25-14 with a 2.92 ERA and 29 complete games and still lost the Cy Young to Vida Blue. Because Blue went 24-8 with a 1.82 ERA, 24 complete cames and 8 shutouts. They don't make them like that anymore.
I do sheet pan meals every so often on a night when I don't want to put a lot of effort in. Tonight was: Chicken thighs, baby potatos and green beans with a butter and dijon mustard sauce and panko/parm crusting. Brush some butter and dijon mustard (1/4 cup butter/ 2 tablespoons dijon) on the chicken thighs then toss the potatos and green beans in the rest of that and pour it out over the sheet pan. Bake the potatos and green beans for 10-15 minutes at 425. Mix 1/2 cup of panko and 1/4 of shredded parm and press that into the thighs. Add that to the sheet pan and pour the rest of the panko/parm over the entire thing. 20-25 minutes more in the oven.
Survivor is on. Ain't nobody go time for Gaza.* It is terrible and horrific but Americans have proven time and again that bad shit happening in other countries just isn't a big deal long term. Americans suck.
I think we know by now that American corporations don't give a shit about anything but next quarter's bottom line. Not whether American civil liberties exist.
Same for me. We toured a house once that had a decent sized library room with wall to ceiling bookshelves that extended up two floors. It had one of the those old school ladders that swung around the room on a brass rail. Except for one wall which was clearly another room that opened out to the library. But when walking around the 2nd floor, no door opened onto that room. The access was through a hidden wall in another sitting room next to the library and led to not just that room but two others that looked out onto the lawns on either side of the house that were only accessible through that hidden wall.
