Trump/MAGA has ruined sports
Kid Rock has not had a song nominated for anything in 14 years. His last "accomplishment" was being inducted the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018. Brantley Gilbert hasn't had anything of note chart since 2019 and he peaked around 2015. Lee Brice last had anything successful in 2020 with a duet that was on someone else's album. He also peaked aroudn 2015 in his solo career. Gabby Barrett finished 3rd on American Idol in 2018, had 2 #1 hits in 2019/2020 and has not cracked the top 20 since 2022. A real murderer's row of top tier talent.

Trump’s America
The question is, will they expect future President's to be such pieces of shit who get off on seeing their name in the news perpetually? A President who thinks everything is about him and he knows more about everything than everyone else? A President who runs his administration like a fucking reality TV show instead of like the most powerful country on Earth should be.

The GQP: Trumpist Death Cult
He was arrested on March 17 at the sting and resigned his seat on March 20. The special election to fill the seat was held on April 29. The winner was sworn in on May 6. Somebody tell Greg Abbott and Mike Johson.... That's how you fucking do it.

The Leopards Eating Faces and Unlubed Dildo of Consequences Thread
In the bottom pic, she looks like a less regarded Sarah Palin. And that makes a lot of sense.

Evangelical Christians
The guy in this video makes the connection between evangelical christianity and subverting Cathiolicism in Latin America by the U.S. government. He also the parallels to how we treated indigenous people in this country and evangelicals are trained to accept governmental/corporate authority. Definitely worth the listen.

Trivial things that please the ever living shit out of you
This could also go in the things that make me surly but we just replaced the fridge we have in our garage. It's 20 years old and had been in the garage for 15 of those. We've replaced the one in our kitchen twice in those 15 years. Once was a 7-8 year old GE and the second was a 6 year old LG that was a piece of shit. The compressor broke on that thing 3 times in six years. But that beast in the garage took a licking and kept on ticking.

All Things Melania!!!
I put this in the Movies thread but I did a little more research after that... I heard a movie critic talking about box office forecasting yesterday. There's a formula they use that takes the 1st weekend's receipts and then multiplies by around 3. If, and that's still in question, this makes $8m, it's on track for $24m. Fahrenheit 9/11 had the highest North American open at $23.9m and is one of only 9 have made more than $100m. 7 of those were nature documentaries like March of the Penguins. If Melania does make $24m it won't crack the top 50. I would be shocked if this makes even close to $15m. My guess is that the true beleivers will see it within the first 7-10 days and it will nose dive out of theaters. When looking at theaters in the Houston area: Cinemark - Valley Ranch (Porter/New Caney- 4:25 showing, 4 seats sold as of 10:00 am. The rest are at zero or like 2. Cinemark - The Woodlands - 2:10 50% of the seat are sold. For the 2:55? Zero. 10 Total showings with 25% of the seats sold. Cinemark - Jacinto City (east Houston) - There are 5 showings today. Zero tickets sold for ANY of them. Cinemark - Cypress - Showing on 2 screens. One seats ~40 and the other ~100 . One showing the 40 seat theater (1/4) is 50% sold out. The others are at zero. Same for the 100 seater. Cinemark - NASA - South/SE Houston love them some Melania. 12 showings and overall, they are just shy of 33% sold for all 12 showings. Cinemark - Katy - 12 showings as well. 25% sold. I would have thought Katy would give NASA a run for their money For shits and giggles, I looked at a few places in around Dallas: Roanoke - 35% of seats sold Allen - 36% sold Mansfield - 25% sold Rockwall - 44% sold In all 20 locations, the overwhelming majority of seats sold are for the veiwings around 1:00 and 2:00. My guess is the church crowdl turning out in force to show their Orange God the love. I checked some random theaters in West Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky and they either aren't showing it or have almost every seat available. Even places like Nashville, this thing is not selling. Even College Station is lagging. ~400 seats in 10 showings and only about 80 seats sold so far for today. Less than 20%. 5 showings tomorrow and maybe 25 seats sold. And not surprising, a lot of those are solo seats in a row by themselves. Cleanup on row 5. I also looked at Boise and Salt Lake City. Both are running at under 20% for tickets sold so far today. Boise 16% and SLC at 11%. It's perking up in places like Des Moines (32%) and Birmingham (34%). AMC has a lot of their mid day showings at 20% off. Something else that I noticed was odd... In a lot of theaters when there were only 2-8 tickets sold, they were often the same seats and rows almost as if they had been, um, selected on purpose.

2026 Midterms ...
Crenshaw will win in November but he held a town hall yesterday in Spring and it did not go well. There was only seating for about 70-75 inside. About a dozen if us where outside with protest signs and another dozen of our group were inside. Of the vehicles that arrived, we easily got 75-80% thumbs. There were maybe 2 or 3 thumbs downs and one lady who rolled by and told us that she "hates fucking Democrats" and "Prays we go to hell." As people left, a few of the vehicles slowed to say things like "Keep it up", etc. A woman who was not with our group, parked her car and walked over to tell us that there was a lot of booing and hissing from most of the crowd, not just a few. Dan looked uncomfortable and was scheduled to speak for over an hour plus some Q&A. The whole thing lasted under 45 minutes and the questions were clearly softballs given to him by staffers. Right at the end as it was clear he was finishing up, someone yelled "Did you answer any actual questions from the crowd today." He mumbled thank you into the mic was done. Keep it up. Remind you "independent" friends and family that they might have to hold their nose when they vote Democat if they feel that way but it's for the best.

I'm pretty sure that the first Iranian he came in contact with, regime back or not, would end him.

Pam Bondi is a dumbass
This would also mean that Charlie Kirk's killer(s) won't face Federal murder charges either. But Utah does have the death penalty.
