  1. The one with the name tag that says Nick Brooks? No idea. Could be anybody
  2. You had a sleepover where all the kids were in bed by 11? That's a big fucking win right there
  3. Honestly, it wouldn’t be the worst thing for us if certain countries didn’t have so much invested here. That is at least part of what gives them more power and influence than they should have
  4. Are you of the belief both of these countries are exactly equal and have the same leverage to push back against policies we try to place upon them? Like, I can scold my child if they’re acting up at the grocery store, but I’m not going to tell Conor McGregor to stop eating grapes in the produce section
  5. Same boat as a lot of y'all. Down 8% but net up 10%. Gonna be that way for a while...
  6. Yeah, when I first saw it, I was thinking he’d get a manslaughter or attempted murder charge at a minimum. Absolutely no justification for firing at the thief like that. If someone down range had died, he and the car thief would be on the hook for charges as well
  7. Taking all the history out of it (I know, I know) and looking at it like a street fight, I see it kinda like this: First punch: Israel attacked something that should’ve been off limits, but took out several high ranking targets. Exactly what they intended to accomplish. Second: Iran shit the bed in response. Who knows what their actual intention was here. Third: Israel just chuckles, waives their hand dismissively, and walks away. How would you score that match?
  8. Damn. That’d be a nice souvenier
  9. Wonder if something like that would totally screw with their mechanics? Kinda like how some guys come out of the home run derby having issues getting back to normal
  10. How bout this. What if we fully committed our military into Ukraine? Do you know how fast we would have all those support systems in place? Do you know how fast we would have air supremacy? How fast we would break through those mine fields and defensive lines? The answer to all of those questions is “really fucking fast.” Unless you believe the US military couldn’t beat this garage Russian army, stop claiming that we gave them everything they needed.
  11. A lot of your other points have been addressed, but I didn’t see this one talked about. A plan was made two years ago, equipment was provided for that plan (I would argue it was the bare minimum, but that’s not the point I’m making here). Said plan was then implemented well over a year later once the battle field had drastically changed. Of course it didn’t have as much success as envisioned. Arguing that we gave them everything they needed and it didn’t work is only a defensible argument if a) the plan had been executed immediately, or b) if the battlefield conditions had been the same as when the plan had been developed.
  12. This is the way to go. Pull up to a shrimp boat and make a trade. A case or two of beer for a giant bag of fresh shrimp is a hell of a deal
  13. Either you missed the joke, or you actually have a kickass pool house
  14. @immamac Any suggestions here? I can also just wait until the next time you drunk dial me if my question doesn’t make sense
  15. Nice humblebrag. My pool house is only appraised at $400k.
  16. If someone were creative enough, I bet there’s a way to make that a condition for all the funds they get. Sort of a loophole to funnel money through ACC, but then they spend it to build/rebuild/remodel/etc any high school campuses where they offer instruction.
  17. As for content, is there any plan to add high school programs at some point? That's probably a huge ask for a small user base, but I figured I'd ask. ETA: @AutographJimmy @AutographMeg
  18. ^^ Fair enough. Yes, they only show when you read an article, but since they open in the app, ad blockers that would work if I opened that same article through a browser don't get blocked. I assume that's because they're now "in-app" ads? Despite owning a tech company, I'm not particularly good with most tech. Apologies if my phrasing or assumptions are dumb.
  19. Finally getting around to exploring the app, and I really like the concept of it. Tons of content that interests me, but holy hell there are so many ads! Pop up ads at the top, pop up ads at the bottom, constant ads embedded in the articles as you scroll down. I understand that's how y'all make money, but gotdamn, it's mildly infuriating. I know there are several apps that block ads on webpages, but is there an in-app adblocker for IOS (specifically one that wasn't developed in China or Russia)? I've tried a few but haven't had any success.
  20. The whole thing might be fake, but in another video she mentions at least one of the cars being repo’d. Also, that video is very misleading. She’s far less attractive than she looks there (which I will say is, at best, trashy-cute). In most other videos, I’d call her frumpy-trash.
  21. I think I’d have a real hard time staying in a high rise that I just heard the structure moaning. Logically, if it survived the quake, it’s probably built for that, but all I’d be thinking is that there’s a crack someone and the next aftershock will be what breaks the camel’s back so to speak
  22. There’s a substantial portion of Ukraine that has not be leveled. Not that their loss is any less significant re: human suffering, but the towns that have been destroyed aren’t the economic objectives of taking the country as a whole. And unexploded ordinance etc? They can just skip past those territories if they took everything to the west ETA: I’m really only talking about initial goals. At this point the calculus is different because it appears exceptionally unlikely they could take those areas to the west without resorting to the same destructive measures
  23. I can’t think of a better compliment I would like to receive.
  24. That’s the vibe I got from the reporting. Won’t be surprised if it turns out he had CTE
  25. ^^ Yeah. That got real REAL for a minute there. Looks to have lost a bit of steam pretty quick which is probably a good thing
