The Bob Dylan Thread
'Infuriates' is a bit strong, but it drives me nuts that the line that he shouts back to the band after being called 'Judas' is "Play it Fucking Loud'. The moment in the movie called for it, and if you are going to directly lift from an actually event in London from his world tour, it's literally on tape. Monica Barbaro is hell of fine but psycho killer eyes. But this is not the movie thread, but go see the movie. It's badass.

Yes-ish. Supposedly packages from California destined for parts of Texas. Don't see any obvious in the derailed cars picture though.

How about calling those last two defensive time outs to extend the first half, but is bad at math and the half just runs out.

Cool, I candy passed out before the fight, and I had to go back to the replay because I didn't know Rountree waited around for a post-fight interview. I don't know about this being some kind of noble performance. I was honestly hoping the ref would step in to alleviate some of the punishment. But alas, it was a couple of body shots that made him finally bend the knee. He looked competent for about 3 rounds, but insert Joe Rogan calf kicks meme here.

I brought it that up when it happened it, he had been timing that knee for a while. I didn't like it, but the guy had plenty of time to adjust to the attack, and bottom line it's just a kick.

Good fight between Thompson v. Buckley with Wonderboy probably winning it going into the 3rd. But Buckley's corner put a fire into him and he came out swinging.

I've been opening empty Soda Stream bottles and manually pounding out dry ice to refill them for years. Just spit ballin' proper air pressures, and having halloweenish dance parties with the extra. What could go wrong? @InkaUtexas sucks when people assume you're not the fun guy anymore. Sucks even more when you know deep down that you are not the fun guy anymore without the social-crutch. I wish the invites were a little more frequent, but that's also on me. I've got to figure out how to be the joyful version of living. Many people with true sobriety have that shit so far in the past that they could help will an imbibing party to fun town just through inner triumph. (not saying this is your story, just sharing what was stirred up)

Does the UFC put on too many events? Because the lineup is a shitburger. Who's gonna pay 80? bucks plus ESPN+ for this? No shit, especially if Stephen was more in his prime. He dodges a lot of fights because he's no longer a contender and has a smaller tool bag. Thompson vs MVP would have been hype, but I think they are too friendly. Still needs to happen though, less hype after MVP lost to Garry.

Why sink an undefeated top ten Miami when you don't have to, they were thinking. There might have been the tiniest of moments where he was down and in control of the ball, but it's literally a frame or two. Probably the right call, but not enough to overturn it. Would have been controversial either way.

I was flying back into town. Have only watched the O'Malley and the Lopes fights. So those were sucks of time. O'Malley having hip surgery, but not saying it played a role. Hear one of the fights on the card was an all-timer. Also, weren't tickets for this thing like 3-5K?

That looks epic. Minimal training this year (once again) and need better/lighter gear. This year is my friend's pick. We are up to 4 us. He picked Idaho because of the minimal thinking/planning/permits involved. Had to call an audible last minute because of fires near Stanley Lake. We are going to make a loop out of this trail. The further on trails might not be heavily traveled. We'll see, or not be able to see. It's near the Idaho/Wyoming border. Might be able to see the Teton's from Palisade Peak. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/idaho/upper-palisades-lake-trail

So fires in Idaho, specifically the Wapita Fire, is causing the evacuation of Grand Jean and Stanley. This pretty much puts our destination area exactly in the middle. I think the trail is on fire or at least in a sever warning. They canceled our reservations at Stanley Lake, reserved as back up if someone had to bail or if we stayed for one more night after exiting. Soooooooooo. Four of us have flights to Boise, ID, in exactly 2 weeks. Yes, we will watch the Michigan game, but after that, it's probably going to be a major pivot. There's probably stuff near Boise not on fire. That Oregon link may come in super handy @Biff Tannen. Yellowstone is 5 1/2 hours away, but we are not tourist. We want to do through hikes or day pack from a base camp. The Enchantments are 7 1/2 hours away. Hear they are amazeballs but their reservation system is nuts and long gone and don't know if they reserve some passes for walk up requests. I'm seeing Hell's Canyon/Snake River and the Seven Devil's Mountain Range which seems to be the States' dividing line, but we are not experienced now prepared for kayaking. Anyone have any thoughts? Maybe the fire will go out and we can hike a Mars landscape. But the fire started in late July and is 10% contained. Sooooooo, Hook'em.- 2021 UFC/MMA thread
That's not how I took it. He was saying he'd rather not have to fight him again. That fight was basically going to come down to cardio and take down defense. Seemed like it was going Isreal's diriction, but Duplesis was able to keep enough strength on his punches to send Izzy down, and jumped on him lightning fast. Three right hooks in a row on someone that was already a little rocked and fatigued. Impressive win. Strickland's crazy ass on deck.- I'm An Alcoholic
