  1. The penalty was dubious at best, but we’ll take anything we can get. I’d love for Slot to run it back over the weekend, but would sub Wirtz in for Macca as the “10” and I’d consider Bradley and Kerkez in at fullback just so we have some attacking width. It’s a tough trade-off because we’ve looked more defensively solid, but Gomez is poor going forward and Robbo also took some strangely horrific touches in attack. Hopefully Chiesa is back in play over the weekend and gets a fair shake to show something as well.
  2. This might be the first time Slot is pressed to use Ekitike/Isak/Wirtz at the same time? Not sure what formational options he has otherwise in terms of attacking prowess. Maybe a 4-4-2 with Wirtz on the left and Szobo on the right with his usual combination of either Grav/Macca/Jones in MF behind. My personal preference is to see Jones on the left side of that double-pivot; I think he’s looked fairly sharp and I think he links up well with Wirtz.
  3. to me, his ego is doing all of this. if you love the club, you don’t do this sort of stuff…after 3 games where you’re not the center of attention, no less. Chiesa has been getting knifed in the back for 1.5 years here and has never said a disgruntled word. Salah is creating an unnecessary cloud over the club at a time where we’re already in the shitter and made it that much more difficult for us to recovery. is somebody like Guehí looking to jump ship to a shitshow like this now?
  4. Ryan Williams might have worse hands than Wingo.
  5. agree he’s being dramatic. he hasn’t been in-form since February and has gotten to start through it all for the most part. on the flip side, the fact that players like Gakpo, Gravenberch, and Konate can play poorly over and over and start every match showcases an inconsistency in man management. but a dressing room spat has now gotten public and might as well spell the end for Slot..
  6. 8 points from the last 30. relegation-level.
  7. the bald cunt has been moaning about long balls, set pieces, and low blocks for 3 months and has found zero solutions. 3 goals to Nottingham. 3 goals to fucking Leeds. He has to go.
  8. lmao he finally takes Gakpo off and Chiesa still can’t see the pitch
  9. Gravenberch finally passed forward and we scored a goal.
  10. He has to be sacked tomorrow.
  11. There is just no way that FSG can watch this product week-to-week and believe Slot has any ability to get this team on the right track. We are absolutely deprived of any ideas. It is an absolutely horrible watch every single match. The fact that Cody Gakpo could commit genocide and still get a start over a cancer-curing Chiesa is evidence enough that he’s in over his head. This is Ten Hag-level incompetence.
  12. This team is just such a brutal watch, which is as big an insult as anything else. They are so slow on the ball and we sleepwalk for most of these matches with no discernible patterns of play and certainly no energy. We picked up the urgency after Sunderland scored, but my god, why does it take going down 1-0 for us to get off our ass?
  13. It takes him like ~5 yards to get his feet and then he’s really hard to bring down when he hits his stride. But for those initial 5 yards, it feels like he goes down at any contact (even with blades of grass…). His balance is super funky.
  14. Apologies if this has already been discussed, but are any of our high-profile freshman WRs (Ffrench, Lockett, McCutcheon) serious transfer risks this offseason? In the portal era, I get concerned when guys like that don’t see meaningful playing time and wonder if they get antsy and seek greener pastures. I’m not well-versed enough on their NIL dynamics to know its impact as a variable.
  15. Wirtz was the best player on the pitch, but that fluffed chance was bad and sort of summarizes his luck this season. Team looked better on the right-hand side without Salah, although part of that is likely because the ball is being spread out more organically instead of being force-fed to a single player on the touchline. I thought Gomez was very solid and Szobo really bolsters that side as well. Gakpo with a head-scratcher; lots of bad touches and decisions but still ends up with a goal and an assist somehow. Think Jones should slide in for either Grav or Macca on Wednesday and I’ll be interested to see what he does with the rest of his personnel decisions. I really think it would be fair to give Chiesa a shot to start one of these days, but he’s just never going to do that.
  16. What a way to end it. Make them lay down and take it like a good girl.
  17. Arch needs to let his nuts hang and tuck this one to ice it.
