One of the finest restaurants in the U.S. is uptown on the riverbend---Brightsen's. It's a smallish house with several rooms of tables. Not to be missed if you can get in. Also, Joey K's on Magazine is a nice local place.
Don’t miss Shaya. My wife and I went for four days in December, eating and drinking our way through the city, and it ended up being our favorite place.
They are leaking oil at just the wrong time. They have played terribly the last four games and I don’t know if they can just turn it on when the intensity begins. At this point I’m mildly concerned but we’ll see soon enough.
Absolutely one of the coolest places in the U.S. Take a guided hiking tour of the fiery furnace if you can. You must go with either a Park Ranger or a tour company. Canyonlands is also a great park. There's also a nice brewpub restaurant in the center of town. It's also a very pretty little town if you have the time to walk around.
The Angels look like legit competition in the West, especially with a healthy Trout. Of course the 'Stros win the division but I expect LAA to be there for a wildcard at the end of the year.
Giles is in postseason form. I don’t see why anyone’s complaining. I’m worried about the Altuve slump. This team is going to crush the AL and face the Yanks again in the ALCS, where the better pitching of the Astros will win out.
It’s right around 45 minutes each way based upon the hours you will work. Not bad for Houston. If your hours shift in the future by one hour later each day you’re looking at 1:15 to 1:30 each day.
