I highly recommend James Park, M.D., an interventional cardiologist, in Dallas at 214.345.6000. He gave my mother extra years of her life by putting a stent in her heart when three other cardiologists said it couldn't be done.
Was 223/120 due to an acute situation that is now permanent. Great young cardiologist has it under it control for the last 7 years with 90 mg. of Nifedipine daily. Watch sodium, etc. and it's now usually 135-140/85-90. No long-term side effects from the medication and will need to stay on it for life.
The podcast this week discussed “Long Term Parking”, which was always the saddest episode to me. Adriana was the most sympathetic character in the show to me and Drea did a great job portraying her.
Doing 10 days next March(3d reschedule). Rome, Venice and Florence with train travel between each and a rental car in-between. Only concern is wife is gluten-free(allergic to wheat and oats), so no pasta for her.
Bought a 9500 watt Westinghouse dual fuel generator, a 15' power cord and had a 50A transfer switch installed next to the electric panel. Total cost about $2500. Will run everything downstairs, including two refrigerators and the A/C or heater as needed.
The podcast with Michael Imperioli and Steve Schirripa is fantastic and this week their guest was Steven Van Zandt who talked about his career, Bruce and the show.
Roscommon is a very nice town with good restaurants. Donegal and the Atlantic Way have beautiful scenery. Watch a short Youtube video or two on how to drive the roundabouts. They are far more numerous in Ireland than England. Go to the Jameson Distillery on Bow Street in Dublin. Try to get advance tickets to the prison. Sligo is very nice and scenic town. Belfast is nice, but getting very dicey now.
Just bought a Napoleon Prestige 500. The dealer sells Napoleon, Weber and others. After all the comparisons I concluded Napoleon was the better buy. It also has a 15 year warranty on all parts and if something breaks out of warranty, they will sell the registered owner replacement parts at 1/2 off.
Michael K Williams is on Marc Maron's podcast this week and talked about The Wire, his start as an actor and dancer and how he got his scar. It was an interesting and entertaining hour.
