Sherrone Moore's Michigan Meltdown - Staffers, Breakups, Extortion, Cover-Ups, Firings, Knives, Assaults, Breakdowns, Arrests
I'll try to put it into terms you can understand: They withdrew their names from consideration as witnesses following the 2025 season. They appreciate all the support from their families and fans, and they are hoping to bring the next Michigan Man in as Head Football Coach to Ann Arbor in 2026. Shouldn't you have opted out of this message board by now to gear up for next year's commenting championship?

RIP Peter Greene
Just started a rewatch of Justified last night and he was a GREAT intro to the series. Agree that there could have been so much more for his character. He deserved more than that first five minutes and a Raylan expository monologue at the end of episode 1. Would have loved a flashback episode or two.

Netflix Recommendations
Agreed. Definitely the worst of the 3 Are there multiple versions of this available on Netflix? Because it feels like you all watched a different movie than I did. Loved it from beginning to end. That said... I am someone who enjoys engaging with questions of religion and wrestling with what Christianity should look like. I can see how this movie could be boring or off-putting if you aren't into that. It's a pretty big piece of this film. It's coming in at 92/94 on RT, so take that for what it's worth. A lot of people are connecting with it and enjoying another ride in this series. I agree that the first installation is the best (they can't all have Ana de Armas), but I thought this was a worthy entry and miles better than Glass Onion (which was still pretty enjoyable for what it was).

AI is generally shitty, but I have found it to be exceptionally shitty with sports info and stats. It’s unusable for sports discussions.

Sherrone Moore's Michigan Meltdown - Staffers, Breakups, Extortion, Cover-Ups, Firings, Knives, Assaults, Breakdowns, Arrests
I know we are joking here, but it's not like there isn't potential for some bad shit to go down on Sark's watch. Yes, it's in the past... but it's in his past. You can try and compartmentalize this discussion to football, but the Chris Beard wounds are still fresh, and that wasn't too far off from what happened here. Me... I'm just gonna stand by wide-eyed as this unfolds and meditate on the immortal words of Bono we hear at this time every year: "Tonight, thank God it's them instead of you."

So no actual reports of Michigan backing out of the bowl yet. I guess that’s good news?

Citrus Bowl 2025 Game Week Thread
Sure... under normal circumstances, that's a major factor. But enthusiasm for the program has got to be at a historic nadir with the events of the last couple of weeks, and especially the last 24 hrs. Missed playoffs Dominated by main rival at home in last game of the season Utterly embarrassing sequence of events around the Head Coach's firing that completely dominates sports media Honestly, if the shoe was on the other foot, I'd have a hard time wearing my Longhorn gear out in public for a while.

Sherrone Moore's Michigan Meltdown - Staffers, Breakups, Extortion, Cover-Ups, Firings, Knives, Assaults, Breakdowns, Arrests
Just one more data point for the Bathsheba Syndrome. Every single CFB Head Coach should be required to read this article and teach a class on it for his entire staff: The Bathsheba Syndrome

I don't doubt it.. but it's not that pure CFB experience that really sells a bowl. How many Michigan fans travel for this?

Citrus Bowl 2025 Game Week Thread
This matchup had potential to be THE prime example of why bowls should stick around in the playoff era. Even with opt-outs and transfers, people will still watch a 9-3 Texas vs. 9-3 Michigan battle of the bluebloods. So the CFP system screwed the pooch and gave you shitty first round matchups with JMU and Tulane... can I interest you in a contest between the number one and number five all-time winningest programs as an amuse-bouche on NYE before the semi-final games? Now it just feels gross. People will still watch for the trainwreck, but it won't be good old-fashioned CFB fun as it should be.

My wife picked this one over the weekend and I went in blind. 10 minutes in and was thinking to myself "this feels like some mid-level Kurt Sutter bullshit." Got to the end credits of EP 1 saw his name pop up and laughed. I told my wife, "I'm surprised he didn't horn Katey Sagal into this show." Opening scene of EP 2 and - boom - there's Katey Sagal. Dude is a hack.

Wicked, the movie...
It was... fine. I mentioned earlier in the thread that the second act felt rushed on stage, so I guess I liked that they fleshed it out a bit more. There's more connective material between the scenes here to make the sequence of events make more sense. The two additional musical numbers ("No Place Like Home" and "Girl in a Bubble" were absolutely forgettable. That said, if you think "For Good" is annoying noise, you have no heart. I did enjoy that they got Ryan Reynolds to cameo as Scarecrow at the end. I've seen rumors online that the moneygrubbing studio is talking about "expanding the universe" in a spin-off about one of the characters or a sequel. Please, God no.

2025 CFB Polls/Rankings Thead
- Holy shit you dipshits: 9-3 Texas is probably in the playoffs
All teams should collectively boycott these meaningless scrimmages. If you don't make the playoffs, shut the season down and come back in the spring. They ain't come here to play school. So play football. The only pass I would give is to players going to NFL draft THIS spring. If you can't be bothered to play Michigan in a NYE bowl as the primary showcase leading into the playoff semifinals, then maybe college football isn't for you. The "meaningless" line of reasoning is bullshit. We had no real shot at the playoff after the UGA loss, so was the aggy game meaningless? This is a big-time showcase against another blueblood program. Go stick it to the committee by showing out and creating a positive narrative to carry into the spring and next season. It will matter for pre-season ranking which can only help next year's campaign.- 2025-26 CFP General Discussion
Tickets just fell into my lap for this one. I'll enjoy the schadenfreude either way. - Holy shit you dipshits: 9-3 Texas is probably in the playoffs
