  1. He was from Texas. Rural Texas. RIP.
  2. I did my own research, as you do, and my recollection was correct. We basically sent nothing from the highland lakes to the farmers in recent years. The biggest losses are evaporation (about 150K-200K acre-feet a year), municipal, and environmental (waterflow that's needed for aquatic/marine life). The reservoirs will help with the environmental stuff, but not the main drivers of the lakes drying up.
  3. I should have been more clear - I get that, and the reservoirs will help with that. But I remember reading a while back that the biggest "loss" from the highland lakes was municipal use and evaporation, and we actually don't send much downstream anymore to the rice farmers. But I have no idea if that's accurate.
  4. How much of the lake drain over the last few years has been due to the rice farmers vs municipal use/evaporation/central texas drought? Just curious. downstream reservoirs won't fix that. Also, did anyone else's dad say "drouth" with a th at the end?
  5. Nebraska pretty good I guess.
  6. Great crowd today all things considered and decent ish weather to be at the ballpark.
  7. Doink. This might be the worst fielding college softball team I’ve ever seen. Course they have probably been practicing on snow.
  8. Jesus fuck what an asskicking. this team can fuckin rake at the plate.
  9. our lineup is sick right now
  10. Reese is my favorite player. Snead is my favorite new player. I love her pop, speed, and attitude. There's so much to love about this team. But the pitching is a mystery to me. also the new hitting coach fucks. holy shit that dude has them dialed in.
  11. Our pitching looks shaky this year. Crazy to me.
  12. MW always leaves his pitchers in too long.
  13. Flood got a raise. 1.525 million. I would do a shitty job recruiting and developing for far less.
  14. Wells has some pop.
  15. yep - much more talented freshman/transfer class this year. That is clear already.
  16. back to back. KS homers.
  17. nice to see sneed get some pt.
  18. the new hitting coach seems to be legit. Can he work with the pitchers?
