I think everyone understands this and agrees under the assumption that it is a clear foul. From the two angles I saw, it was hard to call it either way. Just because he falls down, it doesn't have to be either a foul or a dive. People fall down after light contact when they are running full speed.
Anyway, I couldn't decide from what I saw if Pereira really caused him to lose his footing or not.
Catching an early dinner with the wife in South or Central Austin before a movie tonight. Looking for casual and not crazy expensive and not a long tasting affair. I haven't been eating out regularly since before the pandemic, so I am out of the loop on new places.
Anything noteworthy in that vein?
Bringing my son to the game tonight, any easy spots to park and walk less than a mile with a kid? We could park and take a train over, he likes stuff like that, but I haven't been paying attention to how the train operates since I live way south.
I have a friend who I have to get to some meetings as soon as possible. He just got out of the hospital, he has some health serious health issues but it's impossible to see what is actually caused by or just exacerbated by his drinking. He unfortunately would not go into an in-patient program and wanted to do things on his terms.
If you have any recommendations for meetings in Austin, north or Mueller area, please let me know. I am looking at the Northland group, but would love to hear if there are any that make sense for a newcomer. I'm sure he'll need a sponsor, but I just have to get him into a meeting first.
I haven't really shared on this thread since we moved over to the new site, but I check it a lot. I was dealing with a lot of stuff a few years ago and my drinking got way out of hand. I tried to moderate, but I was always itching for more and working so hard to keep it under control seemed pointless, especially when I knew eventually I would say fuck it and go wild. I quit for good a little over 4 years ago and haven't had any desire to start back up again.
Appreciate everyone in here.
Thanks.
