Official Surly - Texas vs OU Game Thread
Welp, here we go. Tom’s gaping vagina on offense is about to backfire. Thought he learned his lesson after last weekend.

Official Surly - Texas vs OU Game Thread
Probably the one and only thing I miss about Greg Davis was his willingness to take a shot after a big turnover. We just marched down and scored, then get a turnover and go back to pussy play calling...WTF? Nut up Herman and go for the jugular!

I'm certainly no Trejan Bridges apologist, but you are incorrect. He is a lot of things, but a thug isn't one of them. And he wasn't involved in any of the post-game issues and was not being bear hugged by the head coach. The player in question was a defensive player...Bridges was with the athletic trainers getting his head examined, literally. Nice try though!

Bridges is 100% OU, don't think this would change that unless it came from OU's side.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2020
I get the feeling Darius Snow should be on this list. I think he's a hard Texas lean at this point.

Georgetown?- Game Atmosphere
This damn generation, I swear...- Sterlin Gilbert
At least he was smart enough to give it to Foreman...we still can't figure out when to give it to Keontay, or when to play him either really.- Game 2: Texas vs. Tulsa game thread
Keontay Ingram should never come off the field again. And that right there should bury Kyle Porter, like, forever.- Game 2: Texas vs. Tulsa game thread
We seriously cant even play smashmouth football against Tulsa from the 1 foot line? WTF- Clemson @ Aggy - ESPN
Clemson's D-Line is really starting to work over the Aggy O-Line...Mond about to die- 2018 game 1 thread :: Texas @ Maryland :: Exiting the Wilderness
Also, all this bullshit talk about Ellinger winning the job because he’s a winner and because he’s vocal and get the team motivated and blah, blah, blah...STFU already. He is a loser and a choke artist and will be tagged as so until he’s proves otherwise. Talk less and produce more.- 2018 game 1 thread :: Texas @ Maryland :: Exiting the Wilderness
Shocker, Ellinger chokes again. Buechele must have really pissed someone off or fucked someone’s mother to not get any PT today. If that’s the case then move on to a Freshman and let’s go.- 2018 Texas Softball
Oregon isn't losing any current players to transferring...Lombardi was able to keep them all in Eugene. Mike White originally turned the Texas job down, it was Lombardi's. He later changed his mind, literally right before Texas was set to close the deal and announce Lombardi.- 2018 Texas Softball
I would tap the brakes on this a little until his staff proves they can recruit to Texas at the level they were to Oregon. Right now, the approach they are using is not working, at all, and they are further alienating the Texas travel ball community with their current approach. Not hiring a Jimmy Kolaitis was a problem, only exacerbated by not having anyone on staff with any connection to Texas. The ability to develop talent is undeniable...getting the talent is a huge question mark at this point.- Texas recruiting notes 2019
I don't know that legal problems are in his future...but he doesn't like to play school and he's clearly a social media dipshit.- Texas recruiting notes 2019
I don't know what Trejan Bridge's ranking is now, but it is justified. Kid had a huge summer on the circuit and is a straight baller. His ranking is justified and he'll be a 5* before it's over.- 2018 Texas Softball
Volunteer Asst. is coming from Oregon, was a former player and has been with the staff ever since. Not sure about D Ops. I don't know of any that declined the job, but I do know of one coach who declined to interview both at Oregon (while MW was still there) and at Texas. I don't have a problem with friends hiring friends in this business, because honestly that's kind of how it works. But in a situation like this one where the comfort hire was made over the smart one, that's a different story. As someone mentioned above, the level of talent of your players is more important than the hitting coach, and I agree. And I think that's where the shortcomings in this staff will be, getting talent. There is no denying that MW is the best in the business with pitchers, and Spencer is near the top if not at it when it comes to developing defensive players. But MW needed this hire to be an ace recruiter, and he didn't get that. Pretty simple.- 2018 Texas Softball
Janna and Jaden are walk-ons, given a spot by the previous staff.- 2018 Texas Softball
I'm less disappointed in what may/may not become of our offense, but more in that we don't have a recruiter. This hire really needed to be some who would be exceptional there, and I think we missed that mark by a lot.- 2018 Texas Softball
Or maybe you look outside of D1- 2018 Texas Softball
Here is what we are getting in a hitting coach, by the numbers: 2018 (18-19 record) Batting Average: .295 Homeruns: 29 Strikeouts: 166 Walks: 70 2017 (20-35 record) Batting Average: .268 Homeruns: 21 Strikeouts: 238 Walks: 99 2016 (17-33 record) Batting Average: .277 Homeruns: 41 Strikeouts: 255 Walks: 91 Additionally, none of the three coaches have any ties to Texas in any capacity (for recruiting purposes), and none of the three are strong recruiters. Kolaitis did 99% of the recruiting at Oregon. - Texas Basketball Recruiting Notes: Shaka Edition
