The factual recap that didn't even mention his game winner with 3.5 seconds left in Game 2? Or the fact that he played Game 4 with a 102 fever and hit another killer in that one with 14 seconds left? As "delusional" as we Mavs fans are, most non-Mavs fans have been doing the opposite with that same dumb downplaying bullshit when it comes to Dirk for years. So this doesn't make you unique. No big deal.
I'm fine with my (apparently) overly-romanticized thoughts on Dirk's career and his run in 2011. I don't really care about anyone else's.
I'd like to hear y'all break down the Western Conference semifinals/finals from that same season and see how you marginalize Dirk in those too lol. I'll hang up and listen.
It's funny how we remember things. Lebron won one title in Cleveland, and he had Kevin Love in addition to Kyrie. Coaching I'll give you, but Dirk absolutely carried every bit of the load during his championship that Lebron carried during his. More actually (imo).
Every NBA championship is a team effort.
Agree with this, and I think that's what Derka was getting at.
I'm as big a Dirk fan (and unapologetic Dirk homer) as there is, and I don't have any issue with the OP. As a Mavs fan it's actually a pretty fucking good thing to hear if you think about it.
Went there for the first time in my life a couple of weeks ago. Everything we ordered was actually pretty good (specifically the fried chicken). I was shocked.
Most appropriately named restaurant ever btw.
It is, but they call it the "holiday book" and it's largely ignored (or at least marginalized) by media buyers.
Listening to that is what I imagine hell would be like, regardless if it's the Fan, the Ticket, or anyone else.
This thread just reminded me how much I don't go out anymore. Back in the day I could have rattled off 10. I'll still hit up the Grapevine, Ships, and the IVY though. And the Goat from time to time.
RIP Loon.
Heading down for a soccer tournament in January and I got tasked with organizing the Saturday night dinner. Can anyone help with a suggestion in the Woodlands? Need a place that can accommodate 15 players and their families, guessing around 35-40 people. Only requirements are that it's a place that 13 year old girls would enjoy and that they have a full bar. TIA.
