  1. It is my understanding this was the result of Wagner having the incentive of collecting a cut of that oil but the bad intel. They did not bargain for the American military combat experience. IMO they did not think we were still there. We watched Russian vehicles cross the Euphrates on pontoon bridges back in September. I'm not sure, but I believe Russians were simply going for broke.
  2. The Warthogs are back in Afghanistan. AF problem is keeping pilots. If you want to remote pilot a Reaper in Afghanistan, General Atomics is hiring contactors. See Glassdoor. https://www.airforcetimes.com/flashpoints/2018/01/23/a-10-warthogs-are-back-in-afghanistan/
  3. USAF does not provide daylight AC 130 support to ground troops. This is part of the problem. Operators come to depend on this protection when the shit hits the fan. Some of this is shared resentment.

  12. He was playing “devil’s advocate” by covering “every position” on the topic. “I tend to believe that children probably did die there,” he said. “But then you look at all the other evidence on the other side. I can see how other people believe that nobody died there.” An FBI agent is sueing him, too. That has to sting, Alex. Can the families of the dead FBI agents from OKC bombing sue? Or victims of Boston Marathon bombing?
  13. "Why would he say that?" Because he is a peice of shit human being protected by a pig union.
