I like it but no.
Would have been him but Cecil was playing in Japan in 1989. He ended up 7 short of the answer having played one less season in the majors during that stretch
The answer spent 2 years in the AL and 2 years in the NL during the HW Bush administration
Dana said last Sunday an outside chance we see him in Baltimore this weekend.
then changed that to better than outside chance after his first rehab start
i won’t be surprised to see him batting 4th in Baltimore tomorrow
Pena
Correa
Altuve
Yordan
Walker
Diaz
With the way Walker and Diaz are hopefully coming around, that a 1-6 actually worthy of a first place team
Somehow we’re only 3 under since the all star break.
During that stretch, lost 5 games to the Blue Jays, 3 games to the tigers (that sweep was brutal… lost the tiebreaker to them as well by not being able to get 1 win), 2.5 to the mariners, 1 to the rangers.
we really could have used Yordan back a week ago
The problem is it means we no longer have Abreu in the 8th.
even I was shocked at how short our bullpen got when Hader went down.
although a lot of that coincided with the clock striking midnight for a lot of the other guys at the same time the starting rotation decided to only give you 3-5 innings a game
I’m not sure what it says that we have 3 obvious rivals in a conference we’ve been in for 1 year…and those rivals only have a combined 49 years in this conference.
I think it says “you can run, but you can’t hide” besides the obligatory “we’re Texas”
Agreed on the old Big 12 model. I hope they rethink this and play your home and home with 6 schools and then flip to the other 6. Rematches in back-to- back years are going to be way more interesting than going a year in between.
I’m also interested in seeing the A&M not hosting Georgia storyline continue. Possible now it could push all the way to 2029.
This popped up on my feed and thought it was fun.
who has the most home runs in each of these presidential terms:
Biden
Trump
Obama
W Bush
Clinton
H W Bush
Reagan
The espn + Fox combo come Oct 2 for $40 should be your best bet.
all the espn channels plus espn+, all the Fox sports channels and all of the conference networks.
Radio speculating we may see Yordan earlier.
Pregame Espada was asked if the plan was still for Yordan to play in sugar land today and tomorrow and he responded “he’s playing today.”
idk how Ford gets from that that he may be on the way to Baltimore soon vs say, West Palm Beach, but that was Ford’s interpretation.
So what’s the best play for sports, in particular college football, now?
the Sling day/weekend pass looks interesting but that’s a lot of hassle if you want it most/every weekend and if you do that, would be more expensive than a monthly subscription.
the Directv my sports genre package looks like it has the most bang for the buck ($60/mo for 2 months, then $70) and comes with the new ESPN Unlimited service.
A combined ESPN Unlimited + Fox One streaming package debuts on Oct 2 for $40 and is probably what I’ll switch to then. (I get everything I need from Warner Bros through a free HBO Max subscription via AT&T. That leaves NBC/Peacock but I don’t watch NBA and golf season is over (and anything on actual NBC I watch OTA).
MLB I have covered through my MLB.tv subscription.
Re: MLB.tv: it wouldn’t be “on top of”…. the only way to get MLB.tv in the future would be through the espn package if what’s being reported (espn buys those rights) happens. At the current price point for the espn package ($30/month), that’s means it’ll cost about $30 more (6 months Apr-Sep) x $30 = $180) compared to the current MLB.tv season price of $150. But I would be surprised if espn, charging $30/month now for their streaming package that debuted today, doesn’t raise the price if they add mlb.tv to the lineup. They would be wise to offer a standalone “mlb.tv” option at a price point close to what it is today.
re: unlocator: I only use their SmartDNS service. I don’t use AppleTV today but it worked several years ago when I did
It gets harder but still some obvious ones with the above proposed:
Yankees/mets
white sox/cubs
guardians/reds
royals/cardinals
orioles/nationals
angels/dodgers
athletics/giants
red sox/braves
then it gets a little sideways/grab bag:
twins/brewers
mariners/padres
Blue jays/phillies
tigers/pirates
rockies/marlins
astros/d-backs
rangers/rays
new team/new team
