  1. No kidding. In Texas the governor is releasing murderers before they get sentenced.
  2. She left Ted because he was always so positive... almost to the point of toxicity. He never complained, he never expressed anger. When he oh-so gently told her that he was not happy about her new relationship was probably the worst argument they ever had. I think that smile was her seeing growth in Ted and genuine happiness for him becoming a whole person.
  3. Nining Armor... he used to be a shite.
  4. Zava finds him when he gets open for the biggest goal in AFC Richmond history. I am glad that Zava isn't a complete asshole (stealing Jamie's goal aside).

  6. Well, Abbott is taking over the district.
  7. "WE'RE NOT GONNA FIX IT.... WE'RE GONNA MAKE IT WORSE!"
  8. "Hardening schools" is a $3Billion/year industry. We've moved past solutions and now into monetizing living with it. It's here to stay.
  9. Not a bad idea actually. Like that operation that the DC Police did in the 80s. Only instead of promising Super Bowl tickets, they promise "an intimate evening with Donald Trump". They'd show up... oh they'd show up.
  10. Well, he was a big reason Clarence Thomas, became a SC Justice.
  11. Haven't these things consistently cost cities well over $100K?
  12. I remember talking with a Bush voter in 2003. He wasn't strident in his support of the Iraq invasion, the best he could say was "I hope they know something we don't. They have to know something we don't." Turns out they didn't know anything more than us. Turns out they just wanted to do it, so they did.

No you vote Republican because you're a troll.
  14. Remember when people chuckled at conservatives on this board said liberalism was a mental illness? I 'member.
  15. Don't forget losing 2 popular votes.
  16. Kevin, is that you? How have we never figured out that we've both been posting all these years?
  17. Now that there's an industry focused on dealing with school shootings, we'll never see an end to them.
  18. Flame away... I don't care. I love this shit.
  19. I see the opposite (mostly). Nate won't be successful... or at least WH will underperform. They're already setting him up for the fall (the car, the press conference blowing up in his face). His style doesn't work (putting a grown man on a dummy line),and I think Nate gets canned early(ish). Comes back to Richmond for his redemption, they win the whole thing, Ted comes home, Nate takes over. I can also Nate cutting a player for underperforming, Richmond snatching him up and that player blossoming under Ted. They talked about beefing up the lineup. I could see this being one of the steps in Nate's fall from grace.

I think he's saying that the people complaining about trans-women* ruining competition, don't actually follow women's sports, so they aren't engaged in the discussion because of some sense of fairness, but rather some other more negative motivation (bigotry, transphobia). I'd agree with him, I think many of those people mock women's athletics in other discussions. *I hope I have that correct, I worry that I get trans-women/trans-men mixed up.
  21. Playing through it was a beating, but looking at the broader themes, and the way they did it made it one of most ambitious narrative-driven games I can think of. It did not have the replayability of part 1, but when I think of it, part 2 was a masterpiece. It will not be for everyone, but if you appreciate this season, there is no reason you won't appreciate the next. That being said, they have some real challenges presenting that story and keeping people engaged. I think they can pull it off.
  22. One of the times I played it, I used a flamethrower.
