  1. I don't think these rankings are up to date at all. Went to see where the DeSoto RB (SaRod Baker) was ranked now after he dominated this past season and got offers from everyone, and they still have him as a low 3 -star. The rankings get worse every year, the 9.95ers are clearly putting less effort into them, which I guess makes sense in the transfer portal era.
  2. He signed with Virginia Tech but was ruled academically ineligible. He appealed some academic stuff with Baylor and won, so now he is academically eligible again, but the process essentially reset his transfer status so he's back available on the market. And there's more demand for him now because no one else with his upside is available this late.
  3. Winning on the road in this conference is hard. Vandy turned around and lost at Georgia after beating us. Splitting these last two games was always the most likely result. Admittedly though, we should've competed better against Vandy, losing that game was understandable, the way we lost wasn't.
  4. Wheeler may not have been as good as we thought he was gonna be, but he was still a much much better player than Tevin Jackson. Not a Cowboys fan i assume, lucky for you.
  5. This might be the UIL’s biggest sin this cycle. Leaving one singular district as the lone 4 team district in the entire state makes it almost impossible for them to fill out there schedule. I wonder if they can just all play each other twice.
  6. 3 of our 5 commits were named to the McDonald's All-American team. Addison Bjorn, Brihanna Crittendon and Aaliah Spaight.
  7. Mesquite Poteet got dropped into the DISD district in 5AD2, which means SOC is in a 9 team district now and loses one of their annual big time non district opponents. Coach Todd is pissed, that district is terrible, non-district is the only way they can prepare for the playoffs. Feels intentional. They skipped over a lot of closer schools to drop the Crowleys in a south Dallas county/Ellis county district.
  8. Dropping down is the right decision for DeSoto imo, they were just putting off the inevitable staying in 6A. They barely put up 5AD1 numbers enrollment wise, decent chance they have 5AD2 numbers next cycle and you can’t opt up more than one classification. At least Cedar Hill and Lancaster dropped down with them this go round. Good luck to the rest of 5AD1. They’ve got North Crowley replacing DeSoto in the district of death to keep it the district of death. Duncanville, North Crowley and Waxahachie is a tough top 3. Aledo’s district is a joke. They should have an easy transition to 6A there.
  9. SEC is definitely tougher and deeper this year. South Carolina and Tennessee are already the only 1-loss teams left in conference play and Tennessee hasn't played any of the other top teams yet.
  10. I'm cool with adding more depth, but I also think it's okay for your #4 WR to be a young guy without a ton of game experience. Every player with experience was at one point an inexperienced player getting playing time, that's how experience works.
  11. Are you stupid? I called it rivals, because it's still called rivals, they kept the branding.
  12. Everyone knows ON3 bought rivals dipstick, that doesn’t change my stance at all. Did you like Cooper a month ago? If you did and don’t like him now, you’re a dumbass. He hasn’t played any football since.
  13. Anyone basing anything on a Rivals ranking is a dumbass.
  14. It's not like there's a huge downside to it. There aren't any guards left in the portal who are even close to as good. Might as well take a flier.
  15. Thank God, lets hope his eligibility works out so some of yall can stfu.
  16. Denton Ryan clearly comes with a bump in pay, but that's a good Waxahachie job. They were a top 10 team this year in 6A, beat Duncanville in the regular season.
  17. “Essentially Longhorns” what does that even mean? AD Mitchell was here for one year, just like Cam Coleman will be.
  18. The biggest difference imo is the wording of the contract. Demond Williams had a large buyout, straight forward and simple. Either the new team pays it or doesn’t. Mensah’s contract has no option for a buyout, it just says that Duke has exclusive NIL rights for him, in perpetuity, and only they can cancel that. Duke’s contract is way more ironclad, but potentially harder to enforce. If Duke wins this battle, it’ll likely have a major impact on how these contracts are written.
  19. 100% agree. Did not understand people rooting against Indiana, not only is it an incredible story, the alternative of Miami winning was much much worse for everyone outside of Miami.
