Jim Harbaugh NO LONGER coaches at Michigan
Colonel Stalion, did you order the sign stealing? Son, we live in a world that has buckeye receivers, and those receivers have to be guarded by men with signs. Who's gonna do it? You? You, 89horn? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Purdue, and you curse the wolverines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that Ohio states elimination from the playoffs, while tragic, probably saved wins; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves wins.

I appreciate the self deprecation, but 3 still seems high.

Deion Sanders "Coach Prime" Now At Colorado
Assaulting the CFO? Was it an intense discussion on depreciation that just got out of hand? There's got to be some backstory to this.

Fuck Big 12 refs
This is not the thread to point out the good things that happened because of rig 12 officiating.

Hey Sark, analytics need context
Watching the Oregon st/CU game last night I laughed when OSU accepted an encroachment penalty on a made xp, went for 2 from the one and promptly gave up 2 points to cu on a turnover on the attempt. I can just imagine this board exploding if that happened to us. Does 1 yard really shift the analytics that much? Im of the school of thought that if you really thought 2 points was worth it, go for it the first time from the 2, but perhaps the analytics say there's a 47% chance from the 2 and a 70% chance from the 1 (keep in mind we're discussing the average red zone team and not Texas which would be roughly 15% and 20%, respectively). Based on that, it makes sense, depending on the situation. You'd never go for 2 in a tied game late in the 4tg quarter unless your kicker's leg fell off.

And also teams that don't benefit all the time from bullshit calls ...

Hey Sark, analytics need context
Thank you! My dogs are getting sick of me yelling this at the screen during games, though much less eloquently. If I had 10 million dollars, and someone offered me a coin flip where I win 15 mm if it's heads and lose 10 mm if it's tails, analytics tells me that's a good bet. But you'd be stupid to take it, given the context.

The Home Stretch - Big 12 Championship Scenarios
So if Washington, Ohio st, FSU, bama and Texas win out, who goes? Obviously the three undefeated, but I have a feeling that bama gets in ahead of us. Early season loss, playing better now, SEC champ, yada yada. I'm not saying that's right just that will be the language the committee uses as they fuck us- see 2008 (albeit absent a conference championship in 2008, but I can still see it happening). Will be interesting if Michigan wins out instead- that'll be 3 blue bloods fighting for 2 spots, and one has pissed off a lot of people lately.

Lincoln Riley to USC
Are you saying his Hawaiian girlfriend he never met is dying? Caleb doesn't seem like the type to keep that private, I'll just leave it at that. I'm gonna stick with spoiled Mama's boy until I see otherwise.

Or, roughly 430k in each schools pocket. Plus that doesn't even consider that a non playoff Texas would still go to a good bowl that pays something, do the marginal benefits even less. Now go interview each AD and ask them if 430k would be worth Texas losing. I think I know the answer

Lincoln Riley to USC
Crying after a loss, within reason, shows you care. Going to the stands and crying in your mom's lap? Yeah, we'd have laughed at that shit in high school, forget about college.

The Home Stretch - Big 12 Championship Scenarios
As I read it, in a 3 way tie with OSU, OU and us, we're fucked since our cumulative winning percentage in games we've played is 0, OU is .500 and OSU is 1.000. That is IMO by far the most likely 3 way tie to happen.

Maalik Murphy unfucked Duke, works his next miracle at Oregon State
I still can't get over how we treated Riley Dodge. Poor guy decommitted it was so bad. And most of you are too young to remember, but Danny Akers was eviscerated in the letters to the editor section.

I'm getting a real G Gordon Liddy vibe from him. Ex military, brazen schemes they implement, fanatical and devoted follower willing to fall on sword.

Serious question, is there a place that will take a bet on penalty yards against one team? Might as well make some money if I'm gonna get fucked (no Clayton Williams).

Today I learned from Francisco's posted article that it is against the rules to review film at halftime. Seriously, how many people break that rule*. *Not pulling a juicy and saying everyone does it, just that I bet that rule is broken a lot.

Getting my car worked on this morning and saw a guy in a Michigan hat. I asked him if he's been gets lot of shit about the hat. Him- well yeah, always do, it's a national brand. Me- I mean over the last couple of weeks. Him- oh that's such bullshit. Harbaugh would never do that. Me- In fairness, it was a visor so was undoubtedly a douchier Michigan fan.

The best was the next week they called defensive holding by a DT on our opponent. As if to say see we call that all the time. I haven't seen it called since then on anyone.
