Yeah, don't hold your breath for a vaccine by this fall.

The classic film I've never seen
Years ago TCM had a campaign promoting letter-box (wide-screen) versions of movies instead of pan and scan (square box) versions of movies. Someone said something like "When you pan and scan Lawrence of Arabia, you lose the desert." Now that we have wide screen TV's, that isn't really a problem, but it is still better to see it in a theater.

2020 Texas Offseason Thread: Herman's Hail Mary
Yeah, how dare Herman use Duvernay like Belichick used Wes Welker.

Casablanca ... need I say more
That scene is so emotional because a lot of the cast, even the ones playing Nazis, were actually refuges from Hitler in real life. It was easy for them to be passionate in that scene, and if the viewer knows the background story it just magnifies the emotions. Hell, I tear up just thinking about that scene.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2021
Beatty has a reputation for being a good recruiter, specifically in the Dallas area. His experience high school head coach in the Dallas area college coach for over 10 years recruiting coordinator college head coach Nothing against Samples because it seems he may have a good future, but Beatty would be a better hire.

RIP Brian Dennehy
There were actors in "10" other than Bo Derek, Bo Derek's body, Bo Derek's hair, and Dudley Moore? I guess I am going to watch it again........for the millionth time.

Better Call Saul. Not coming back until 2020
Will Mike and Kim ever meet? They haven't IIRC.

RIP Brian Dennehy
Yeah, but last week Dennehy would have won.

RIP Brian Dennehy
I would rather get in a fight with Gene Hackman than Brian Dennehy. Dennehy would kick Hackman's ass.

Speedy Flowers, son of former Longhorn Montrell Flowers. Hopefully he has more than one kidney.

RIP Brian Dennehy
And when I was thinking of Dennehy's roles I thought he had played Jessica Lange's father in Tootsie, but that was Durning. Other movies Dennehy were in include Foul Play (starring Chevy Chase and Goldie Hawn) and Cocoon (starring slimy alien pods), but my favorite performances were First Blood and Silverado. He really made a good bad guy. RIP.

2020 Texas Offseason Thread: Herman's Hail Mary
He is a people person. It was a choice between Uber and Walmart greeter, with Uber allowing more flexible hours.

Better Call Saul. Not coming back until 2020
If Saul tells Lalo about the robbers, then he has to explain how he was able to get out of that situation alive. If Lalo realizes that Mike (and therefore Gus) was protecting Saul, then Saul is a dead man.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2020
Is this a guy whose rating was downgraded because of eligibility questions, was just underrated overall, or a legit 3 star prospect?

2020 Texas Offseason Thread: Herman's Hail Mary
Love the GIF. But the question is: Were any of the other coaches any better?
-
2020 Texas Offseason Thread: Herman's Hail Mary
Yep, I said it. DId you even watch the video? That Fat, Sweaty, Lying Cocksucker Gary Patterson came across better than the other coaches in that video. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

2020 Texas Offseason Thread: Herman's Hail Mary
Well, Patterson is the longest tenured major college coach in the state. He also seemed to be the most personable or maybe most comfortable in front of the camera out of that bunch. Holgerson is even more of a wreck than usual.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2021
I'm not being critical of Clayton Smith. Hell, I've never seen him play. I'm sure he's a recruit we would love to have on our team. But if you are going to say this about a kid: ....then don't say he's a Derrick Johnson clone. The adjectives for explosiveness, acceleration, and straight line speed should be words like "incredible", "exceptional", "unbelievable", "once in a generation", "otherworldly", "mind-blowing" if you are going to compare a linebacker to Derrick Fucking Johnson

Texas Recruiting Notes 2021
Would this be an acceptable offensive class? Is it realistic?
